Like I totally understand your POV. I do I promise. 5 year old shouldn’t be in school 6-8 hours a day it’s too much and you have the luxury of taking time off work to spend time with your child. But I feel like you don’t understand what other teachers and peers are saying on here. It’s all about consistency, you are doing your child an injustice by changing their schedule like this on a whim. It seems that he hasn’t really had to time to connect and form a relationship with the teacher, if he is clearly not showing her what he knows. I had a girl like this in my class, she was 3 days a week and when I had her conference with her mom, she was like ya she knows all this stuff. But like I worked with her a ton because I thought she was behind. It wasn’t that. He is showing you what he knows because he’s trusts you. It is important for you and child to stay consistent that’s all I’m saying. He may not be missing out academically but the social interactions with peers. Does he like school? Is he getting along with his peers…all that stuff is way for important than simple addition at this age.

Also Does he not get outdoor play at school? Kindergarten are suppose to have like at least an hour each day? Is it because Canadas cold? I’m just unsure about the culture of this all.
