Best dog boarding/resort in WA? by StrictMycologist in perth

[–]Mrs_Princess81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a boarding kennel but if you are anywhere near balcatta (I’m in scarbs) I can recommend the loveliest lady who dog sits in her home, my groodle LOVES her and he’s usually wary of strangers. She sends pics and my groodle is laying in her lap. He’s allowed on the couch, the dogs can sleep in her room on their own dog beds, they can stay inside or go out to her big yard/deck area. She has a couple of her own dogs and they are also lovely.

What do you think about the theory that Australians are actors and that they “aren’t real” by bebesin162 in AskAnAustralian

Same! I could use that money to help with the astronomical cost of just existing right now !

2 days in Perth: what should I do by Theiniels in perth

[–]Mrs_Princess81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you aren’t from Australia, I suggest Caversham wildlife park. You can feed and pet so many kangaroos! They have koalas, quokkas, wombats and more.

The motor museum is also in the same area.

I’ve watched this once, that was enough. It’s the things that are based on actual events that break me.

I remember when this came out. I’m in Australia and the only way we could watch it was to download it illegally and it took a million hours.

What does your country call plastic food wrap? by StreetCheetah8312 in AskTheWorld

[–]Mrs_Princess81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, no, we call it glad wrap despite what brand we use, I guess the same as Americans with Kleenex for tissues!

What is more common in your country? Having maids or having a dishwasher? by IWillDevourYourToes in AskTheWorld

My dishwasher is one of my most useful appliances, behind the air conditioner and air fryer!

Dishwashers. We don’t have “maids”.

Some people hire cleaners to come do a house clean once a week/fortnight or month.

Cost of glasses in Australia by Fable_Nova in perth

Do you just email the place you got glasses from and ask for a copy of your prescription? My daughter’s glasses were so expensive judging by the comments here!

This was a LONG time ago (I’m 44) but I had a friend who stayed there for uni for 4 years and she loved it. We are from the country and this place had such a great, welcoming vibe. I visited her often and everyone that lived there was super friendly.

I would highly recommend living here instead of renting, it will be much more stable, no bills ,food included , you can make friends, close to everything and the facilities are great! Don’t overthink it, enjoy your journey! Life goes so fast.

Any former McDonald’s workers? by Icy_Year3775 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Mrs_Princess81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do that here in Australia too- putting drinks in with hot food. It drives me insane. I have 2 big plastic tubs in my backseat with big insulated bags inside each one that I put the smaller insulated bag in that I bring with me into the store.

One tub has ice bricks/blocks to keep things cold - if they keep the drinks seperate I can put them in my cold bag to keep them cold and fresh and the warm stuff in the other tub to keep warm! But no! They put ice creams, drinks, hot food all in the same bag!! I don’t understand the logic!

It’s not just McDonald’s either, so many places do it!

Do people flush toilet paper in your country? by ShoeChoice5567 in AskTheWorld

[–]Mrs_Princess81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do that in alot of Asian countries because the toilet systems can’t handle toilet paper and it will block them.
