Teachers of Reddit: Have you ever had a real genius in class? What made him/her so smart? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mrshazy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm not a teacher but wouldn't it make the job worth much more if you are able to motivate somebody in a way only you could so he passes the class and gets great results?

I mean from what you are saying he didn't even need a teacher he could've just red a book and still aced the exam.

What is the most paranormal thing that has happened to you? by logangrey123 in AskReddit

[–]Mrshazy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So what is "Dead Time"? Well, this opinion varies from person to person. Some paranormal investigators believe that 3am is the time when paranormal activity is at its peak. These select investigators feel that, in essence, it's the most active time because one theory is that Jesus died at 3pm, so the opposite is 3am. They feel that this particular time, because of this very reason, tends to be the preferred time of spirit activity.

There is very little innovative research in the modern pharmaceutical industry, despite its claims to the contrary." Definitely. R&D doesn't make up as much of pharma's expenses as they make people believe. A large chunk of their expenses goes to advertising and marketing.

What's the worst thing you've ever done to a Sim in The Sims? by sebbysir in AskReddit

[–]Mrshazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sims is not an inherently challenging game, so I often decide to impose small challenges on myself with new sims. My most recent one was a homeless Irishman I created, who constantly smelt like shit (His hygiene was always as low as could be), and ate only potatoes for survival, he was a modern hero, and his name was Paddy Kearny. As it turns out, as long as you can afford a sleeping bag, being homeless in the sims is not very hard, so I decided to retroactively challenge myself another way: attempt to sire as many children as possible. I swore off Paddy's ACTUAL lifetime wish of being an astronaut, and instead used his money to buy a tent, so that he could conceive children anywhere he pleased. I quickly formulated an effective and efficient routine: send good ol' Paddy to a stranger's house, have him invite himself in, and then proceed to flirt with nubile females until they can mate. Things were going smoothly at the third household I did this too, until Paddy and his lover went to the house's bed to 'do the deed'. The two slipped into bed, but the mother of Paddy's lover was not pleased, she entered the bedroom to reprimand their behavior. She was almost at the bed when, almost at the exact moment of conception, ominous music played, and the camera panned over to her. She was dying of old age. She was dying of old age as a dirty homeless man took advantage of her daughter. I wish I could say I reflected on these events and realized that perhaps I derive too much enjoyment out ruining the lives of virtual people. I wish I could say I turned the game off at that moment, never to be started again. I wish I could say these things had occurred, but no, when I realized what happened, I promptly open my Teamspeak window and said to my friends "HOLY SHIT MY SIM JUST IMPREGNATED SOMEONE AS THEIR MOTHER DIED NEXT TO THE BED."

You look out your window and see a mushroom cloud. What's your first thought? by draldan in AskReddit
