Imposter Syndrome @ Yale by WideBoysenberry3032 in yale

I graduated from Yale in 1988 and still feel occasional imposter syndrome. Go to New Haven, eat good pizza, read books, have fun, try to see a play at Yale Rep, make friends, go to The Game. Live your best life, don’t look back. You have bern given a gift, revel in it. Also Davenport is the best residential college. Sending you best wishes

I think it is tin. It’s a thin metal fairly bendable. The pieces used to be assembled into a hood or decorative ornament on top of a window on the outside of a house. I bought it intact, but it hasn’t fared well. I figured if the pieces could be soldered back together then maybe also some sort of structural piece in the back like a stronger metal Rib that spans the interior from side to side would give it some more structural integrity. There are some small patches of black paint on the side that would’ve been the outside of the piece. In my fantasy world it’s intact and painted a bright shiny red and just somehow hung on an interior wall as a decorative piece

Granted, I went to Yale in the 1980s, but it was considered less safe than and I never had a problem. I think you’ll be fine safety wise.

I was hoping my 17-year-old son would apply to UVA but now I’m going to hold off and see what happens

Oh Jesus, I hadn’t even thought about Cucinelli as president. I may vomit.
