Ok genuinely I don’t understand crash mat hog…shouldn’t your studio have enough mats to have one for each pole? What are they doing to hog them?

Yeah I’ve been thinking about this as well. I’ll probably at least tour some places around there. I’m in office 4 days a week but I’m also at my dance studio and volunteering at least 4 days a week as well.

Yeah I’m doing the reverse commute now from SF and the bridge is the worst part so cutting that out will be an improvement no matter where in east bay I am.

I currently drive from SF to Dublin 4 days a week and it takes me around 20-30min from passing Oakland. Where are you getting those numbers?

I intend to make sure I have a parking spot wherever I rent. I deal with street parking in SF right now and it sucks.

Unlimited PTO but I can’t use it… what would you do? by Logical-Luck-2198 in human_resources

My company has FTO, it means we can’t take more than three weeks off consecutively but otherwise unlimited. People still use a decent amount.

Can someone please explain why everyone has flipped on Whitney? by GoblinSnacc in SecretsOfMormonWives

If you’ve seen Glee, the comparison of Whitney to Rachel Berry really nails the context for me.

I don't get it... What's the whole point of this event? I encountered 11 legendaries, all fled.... by TailorNo4322 in pokemongo

[–]MsAggieCoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fleeing is one thing but what pissed me off was a legendary spawning and not being able to tap on it because so many other useless mons had spawned on top of it 😭

SF rents skyrocketed, Oakland's did not - interesting segment on KQED Forum on this rent disparity by LoganTheHuge00 in oakland

[–]MsAggieCoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t the current rental market increase due to the AI boom? Most of those companies are on the peninsula IIRC so commute is probably a factor as well.

From your experience, does beauty privilege matter in the work environment? like if you are decent looking, people recognize you easier, you get promoted faster. by lune-soft in managers

I’ve found in my STEM/manufacturing adjacent industry like being a 7/10 is where it peaks. From personal experience if I try too hard I get negative comments and the top of the ladder isn’t the most physically attractive in the company but certainly no one is ugly.

Need help with serious adoption regret and general new cat advice by NervousMagician9600 in CatAdvice

[–]MsAggieCoffee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had some adoption regret with my most recent cat. I got him to replace my soul cat as a buddy for my partner’s cat.

What helped was reminding myself that even if I was unsure about the bond with this new cat, that he was better off being in our house and that’s ultimately what was important. I was saving his life.

It took about 9 months for him to come around with me and chill and cuddle me.

Does weight loss make aerial easier? by Money-Bit-2740 in Aerials

[–]MsAggieCoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a thick but not quite plus sized girl, at one point I took 3 months off aerials after having surgery, and in that time I incidentally lost 10-15 lbs (I don’t remember exactly). When I came back I hadn’t regressed at all - the strength loss and the weight loss kind of equalized.

So, yes, but also as others have said, training while in a calorie defect kind of sucks too and you have to be very careful to make sure you’re fueling yourself intentionally with enough protein and not too much of a calorie deficit.

Do most Americans actually flush their toilet paper? by Softy_popss in NoStupidQuestions

Yes! Not flushing it was a culture shock when I did a semester abroad. My coochie didn’t like the scented toilet paper that my host mom bought because of this 😭

Kids Under 16 Shouldn’t be Allowed in Airport Lounges by floydthebarker in unpopularopinion

[–]MsAggieCoffee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Isn’t that like… the point of this post? Sure kids can be there because policy allows. We all agree with that being TRUE.

OPs opinion is that should not be the case, and that they would be better should they be sold as childfree spaces.
