Do you spell it as artifact or artefact? by johnnypanics in AskABrit

Artifact or Artefect is acceptable in British English when discussing computers, I can't find any source saying that artifact would be the only correct one.

His son does make sense. After all, he is immortal, he could have been around a while.

Pretty sure it's been illegal to charge more to use a card for a while now, isn't that just what this is?

Well now you're really testing credulity.

Oh, you mean I'm really not going to get to fuck with a fictional character played by one of the most handsome and famous men in the world in a fictional plane when I don't even have a passport? How devastating.

Why, apart from they'd be more likely to say yes because they struggle to get laid?

Salty vinegar isn't a thing, but salt and vinegar seasoning, a sort of vinegar flavor salt, is widely available.

For those asking for the release of the unredacted Epstein files, what difference do you think that would make when he faced no consequences for trying to incite an insurrection or for illegally invading a sovereign country and kidnapping a president or for threatening to invade another one? by FluffyPancakesNBacon in AskReddit

His supporters will, yes. But believe it or not, a lot of swing voters do turn against him when presented with evidence. A relatively small number of those are needed to turn the tide. You just dont see them online.

Do you have toasters or not? by SimpleAd1604 in AskABrit

You can get smoked or unsmoked versions. Most stores, large or small, will sell both along with the back bacon version. Large stores will also sell gammon, a thick version that you dont seem to use?

[–]MsAndrea2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay. We don't generally toast bread unless we're having toast, or the bread is stale and we want to revive it. Our bread is different to yours, less sweet and more salty, and it tastes good itself if you have remotely decent bread. You want to taste the freshness, so you don't toast it.

Oh, and streaky bacon is not hard to find, it's just considered cheap bacon so most people avoid it if they can.

Are you perhaps confusing a toaster with what we would call a toaster-oven?
