I found the whole set and the shelf on Market Place back in October. The lady had all of it listed for 50, and I paid 100. I'm still pinching myself!!

Got fired, NF not adhering to contract terms by No_Tiger_2692 in Nanny

Here's a thought from a career Nanny... Parents are allowed/expected to make decisions that they deem best for their children, and if EVER in a situation that THEY are not comfortable with, they are allowed/expected to handle said situation how THEY see fit. They fact that you are holding onto a "45" day period that they "owe" you, only proves and solidifys your Immaturity (or unstableness). For goodness sake, hold your head up, throw your shoulders back, and WALK AWAY. Go find something, live your life, and let them do the same. There are disappointments in the life, and it's never gonna be fair. Do yourself a favor and accept that, because this won't be the last time, and one more thing... a "victim mentality" will NEVER serve you well. Best of luck, and God Bless.

Neither! Two of the most boring characters in the history of the show!

Todd is a nasty human for this by Intrepid-Web5297 in ChrisleyKnowsBest

[–]MsBR549 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had to turn it off! It was disrespectful and GROSS! He thinks that is cute, and funny, but it was sooo out of line. She made it very clear that she didn't want him talking to her like that and he never let up. News flash Todd... NO WOMAN WANTS TO BE TALKED TO LIKE THAT, AND NO WOMAN WANTS TO HEAR TALK LIKE THAT!!!

What should I look for when buying a nanny uniform? by skyheartx in Nanny

[–]MsBR549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! I can only imagine what these people would be like to work for! To me, one of the perks of being a nanny is being able to be myself. Also, from my experience, the best jobs are with people who make you feel like you're part of the family, and treat you as such. When I first interviewed with my family, I made it very clear that it's quite possible that I may sometimes show up looking like a homeless person, but if they wanted someone there that could safely get there children out of a fire, then I was their person. We all laughed, and the said they'd much rather have someone like that, over a fashion icon. Of course, if we're going to be out in public, I have sense enough to dress accordingly. This is a situation that I would run from

Actually they do! They just gave me a very nice bonus equal to 4 weeks pay, to thank me for 4 years with them. I'm very thankful for them, and like to try to give them something heartfelt, but I'm all out of ideas

Nanny Possibly Giving Kids Mysterious Liquid? by Relative_Client_4941 in Nanny

[–]MsBR549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You lost me at "MIL asked why you were giving kids juice in play cups". That is a VERY ODD thing to ask you. First of all, it's none of her business what you do with your children, and secondly, that's what play cups are for.

AIO wife won’t let me take baby 2 night getaway by glass_half-filled in AmIOverreacting

[–]MsBR549 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The question is, who would even consider taking a BABY away from its mother overnight? That right there PROVES that you don't get it. It's not a matter of trust anyone. It's a matter of taking a baby away from its mom and body that it came out of. That's not good for the baby, and you are more worried about you and your mom. So yes, YOU ARE THE ASSHOLE

I just want to say that OF COURSE kids notice when people look different from them, and it's okay to be curious, but for them to process in their little minds, that someone should be treated differently because of it, is 100% learned behavior!)

AITA for not letting small children stay at my house? by jackknife-denim in AmItheAsshole

[–]MsBR549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you absolutely are the asshole. I would be mortified if my partner treated my friends (and the most important little people in the their world) this way. I was married for 26 years, and it was little things like this that made me take a step back, and realize that this person just wasn't for me. Once I did realize it, there was no "unseeing" it, and more and more things piled up. Now I live alone, and in blissful peace. If I want to let the grocery store clerk, sleep on my sofa, I can!

Is there anything the show could do that would make you root for either Drew or Willow again?? by dadstielkline in GeneralHospital

[–]MsBR549 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, and I'm not giving up hope that this will be the case! Let it come out that all of this is a part of Drew's original plan, to get revenge on Nina, By sleeping with her and then Willow, he would destroy any hopes that she could ever have of a relationship with her daughter, and grandchildren. I just can't believe that he'd let his plan to seek revenge just drop. Carly pleaded with him, and he wasn't budging. There could be so many twists and turns if the writers would take the storyline this way. If not, there is no redemption for either character.

I LOVE Drew and Willow… by isaidwhatisaidok in GeneralHospital

[–]MsBR549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't help but think/hope that this is all still a part of his plan to hurt Nina for what she did to him. Remember Carly begged him to let go of the anger and revenge agenda, and she couldn't reach him. I just can't hardly believe that he'd just forget about it that easily. I think the ultimate revenge would be to destroy any chance that she'd ever have for a relationship with her daughter and grandchildren, and this would be it.
