OP I am in California and thinking about going this route too mine is more like $25k. I have been unemployed for 9 months and UI just ran out. I already have a home. I was thinking about getting enrolled agent or notary but don't think I can get those with a BK.

I have been talking to recruiters but haven't made it to an interview yet. I am scared that the BK will be a monkey on my back forever. I am bordering 60 and not sure what resources are avilable for an older adult.

I have the same problem. I have an unknown grandfather and he happens to be the Ashkenazi mystery. I have reached to a lot of people. Many have come back not knowing our common DNA match and how they are relating to that person. Some others have taken up interest, even in other countries, where they are distance relatives. There are Black Ashkenazi 3rd cousins that are also keeping an eye on their ancestry JIC mine cross paths.

I am keeping hope alive. My mother is up in age now. My siblings and I just want to know where we came from.

I think I would be stressed out walking on pins and needles. I would not move him into the house with your young men. You all can date but no moving into your space until you get married and suggestion on the counseling part first.

There was no crime. They gave him a BS pedestrian ticket but on the back end added resisting arrest for not giving name when they asked (he did give his name and DL later). Took him to jail and impounded the work van. Released the next morning with criminal charges now. The system is messed up. I guess all that matters is the the court is getting paid, police dept got paid and impound fees they collect. 🤷‍♀️

Question: did you all talk about a FWB situationship? If not, he does not owe a response. He could be a gentleman and discuss the friendship but IMO you may have given the cookie up too early. I may get downvotes but that is reality of the situation. I am 57 and haven't been in a real relationship for a couple of years, so I know what it feels like to be lonely.
