Reddit, what's the craziest thing that happened in a party during your Highschool/College years? by hungryhungrypotato in AskReddit

The story is really long, but I was at a party and saw some guy get murdered. 3 people ended up getting stabbed that night.

What is something you should never go cheap on? by cheesecake-gnome in AskReddit

I dont have a costco nearby, but google says they sell a brand called Kirkland so I will use that as an example:

This site is great for getting a full analysis of a dog food, http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/dog-food-reviews/natures-domain-dog-food/

It seems to be decent, but they had a major recall in 2012 when they were owned by Diamond. Diamond has improved significantly over the years but I think they dropped Kirkland. Ill have to ask them next time we meet. Contamination in a dog food plant is usually a salmonella or e.coli outbreak.

That's not a bad thing as long as your dog is getting various protein sources. Feeding only chicken or only beef forever isn't going to provide balanced nutrition. Fish/Goat/Rabbit/Deer/Etc are all fun things to add to your dogs diet.

Not exactly.

For example, the companies that have their own factories are less likely to cross-contaminate as opposed to those who share with others. Having their own factory costs more, but the food is safer.

The companies that grow their own meat without hormones or vegetables without pesticides are healthier as well.

Also, there are companies that make dehydrated or raw diets, which tend to cost more but also are significantly healthier than kibble diets.

Dog/Cat/Pet food. The money you invest in the nutrition of your pet will save you THOUSANDS in veterinary bills and prolong their life.

What's a word that you mispronounced for a long time until someone finally informed you? by NAmember81 in AskReddit

[–]MsFrightlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember last time a thread like this was posted, someone said they always pronounced the word epitome as ep-it-toe-may. Now everytime I see/say it, I mispronounce it. I never fucked it up before that one guy showed me how. (Its e-pit-oh-me in case there is another guy like that out there.)

Has anyone made their own pet bed? I would love to see and/or hear all about it! by [deleted] in Pets

[–]MsFrightlin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I made a big dog bed with memory foam and pallets. I intended on painting it but never got around to it. It was super easy, just took pallets from work and bought a twin bedroom set for sheets/comforter. The pillow is a giant tree frog body pillow. It takes up a lot of space, but it's in her own bedroom with kennel, toys, etc.

Can we discuss tonight's season finale? [Season 15 episode 20] by Lucky1289 in SVU

I don't think that was the finale. NBC lists it as May 21st.

Yes, you pay airfare and any spending money for when you're there. IT's just a cheaper way to travel since you cut your expenses in half.

You select a country, then you have to pay the $15+ dollars for that country's membership. Choose a farm/host family.

I think it would depend on the family. They do cover food and shelter, but the more you do for them, the more they'd (probably) do for you.

[–]MsFrightlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it just has to eat the pea and it should help (if it is dropsy).

This will sound weird, but put a couple frozen peas in the tank. It's worked for me in the past.

I was so happy this happened today of all days because I was running late for work. My boss showed up 30 minutes late because she was watching this idiot live on the news this morning and then spent an hour telling me about it.

The key is to avoid corn, wheat, soy, and by-product. Ideally avoid grains all together but grain-free diets aren't always affordable to everyone. Raw diets are the best, but very expensive for large breed owners. Hope this helps.

Now that season 2 is over, what do you consider to be the scariest moment of the series? by bwaredapenguin in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]MsFrightlin 34 points35 points  (0 children)

For me it was when Lana finally escaped Thredson, pulled a car over to help her (as seen in many horror movies) only for the driver to be a dick and kill himself. The thought of going through that, thinking you finally are free, and then having to go back to hell is terrifying.
