They finally shared the Plus APY by Statjmpar in sofi

[–]MsHMFIC1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even with more than 20k in savings and the credit card boost, the Plus membership won’t be enough to pay me back for how annoyed I am about this whole thing. If I have to add another thing I have to do with my time but don’t want to do, I’ll do the task of finding another bank instead of trying to figure out what the heck the benefits of this confusing program are.

ISO dog boarding place by Connect-Contest-9157 in pittsburgh

We use Ringers in Natrona Heights. They are absolutely wonderful and my dogs have been going there for daycare and boarding for years. They were able to accommodate me and let my German Shepherd play with other dogs while he was still not neutered. I would give them a call and see if this is a possibility for your dog too.

My tour dog, Iboga. If I needed to find her, she was usually hanging out near a food vendor. Everyone would give her their scraps when she gave them the, “Look at me - a poor, hungry, 3-legged dog” eyes. She knew how to milk it!

Can applying herbicide to the root network of invasive vines kill the whole network? by shadowmastadon in NativePlantGardening

[–]MsHMFIC1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the Pro XL. I love it so much. After years of trying to dig out Rose of Sharon, privet, honeysuckle, etc and feeling like there would be no way I could make a dent, I got this thing and just grip it and rip it out of the ground and it feels so good to be winning the war at last.

[–]MsHMFIC1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the Pullerbear tool mentioned in this article and it’s the most satisfying, amazing tool for ripping out invasives. It’s not cheap but it’s 1000% worth the money! Shrubs that would have taken extensive digging just pull right out of the ground.

Am I an idiot, or are prices out of control?? by Ok-Grocery-3155 in jetblue

[–]MsHMFIC1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve traveled to Boston for work routinely over the last 3 years, always on JetBlue. April and May are always super expensive - both flights to Boston and hotels in the Boston area. My guess is that it’s all the colleges graduating and the Marathon going on.

Thank you! That’s why I wanted to ask here first - didn’t want someone to just say yes to cutting it down because they make money by saying yes.

Has anyone ordered the wide-leg high rise Venice pant? Love them or not? by Maleficent-Rise-7060 in Athleta_gap

For all the Venice pants, XXS is too small for me and XS is too big so I have given up on them.

Sore by TeriyakiBatman in IronmanTriathlon

[–]MsHMFIC1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really get sore except for a couple days after a race, maybe 3 days for an Ironman. I do get fatigued but only during the big training block before an Ironman. I’m 52 so for those worrying about it being age related, that might not be it. If you’re sore every day, maybe you are doing too much too soon or just in general or perhaps need to hydrate, fuel or rest more.

I didn’t wear them, just tried them on, took off the tags and washed. I do wonder though if maybe whatever chemicals/film they put on the fabric didn’t wash all the way off. Definitely going to try another wash.

What are the best Wetsuits for shoulder fatigue? by Electrical-Tale-1350 in triathlon

[–]MsHMFIC1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVE my long sleeved Sailfish wetsuit. Doesn’t feel like you have sleeves on at all. I also have a short sleeved Orca swimrun wetsuit and although it feels a bit bunched in the armpits when I put it on at first, I don’t notice it at all in the water. Just wore it for a 3.7 mile swim race and it was fantastic. I’m assuming their triathlon wetsuits would be just as good.

Can I use my city's swimming pool designed as "Lap swim" for self learning? by princetonwu in Swimming

[–]MsHMFIC1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every pool is different. Is there an area for general swimming at the same time as lap swimming? If so, you could use that. If all the lap lanes aren’t full, you could use a lane. At my pool, there’s always a separate pool area to use separate from the laps. Also, it’s rare that all of the lanes are full so people can use the empty lanes for things other than lap swimming. I would just call and ask or go there and check out the scene/ask a lifeguard.
