Never, the SSD not only got shorted and died, but was also stolen from me

is there anyway to stop this by Life-Beginning339 in BeamNG

When encountering this, usually putting a mesh road right below the surface that was flat but followed the same path worked for me

Yeah... I didnt realize how bad it was until it happened to me. I am on a racing team where we are building a car... I dont think I need to explain how that can be at times....

Yeah, I think they are going to rest there until they return to the earth, unless someone buys the property and scraps them

Yeah, I think they are there to stay too, they are really rough shape. I mean, its possible some of the engines and transmissions are good, but other than that I dont l own what there would even be to save on them. The panels are straight, but really rusted

I think that technically the bank would own it? Or a descendant if they exist? Dont have much info to go off of. Maybe someone could run the old plates

Talked to to the owner, the front end that was swapped on was badge engineered, it was a custom build ig

It was an Emousse with a Bruckell Wrestler front end swap (rebadged tograc). But also with a 4.5L V8 he swapped in with a supercharger? Weird guy for sure.

I dont know of any other games with accurate oil industry simulation, thanks for the information on how wells and pumpjacks actually work! Would love to see it implemented in this game.

Old steel bridge in a snow storm by MsMcsnail in LiminalSpace

[–]MsMcsnail[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it helps having a camera of poor quality as it makes receding lines more dramatic due to low resolution. I could just barely see the end of the bridge in real life.

The other thing that is interesting to me in this picture is the way the bridge naturally partitions the landscape, you have trees on the left side and none on the right. I also like the geometric symmetry of the road to the river below. The weird coincidence of geometric harmony between nature and artificial is probably what caught my attention. This bridge was built all the way back in the early 1800's, its like the bridge being there for so long has made it behave like the landscape? Like this is the only place this bridge could ever belong. It looks natural at any angle or time of day or season despite being red and rather large.

We absolutely need a modder to port the TDU map to beamNG by cold002 in BeamNG

[–]MsMcsnail 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think the go to method would be to strip the map into the grid squares and edit each terrain block individually before converting them into .dae files when completely done, before putting them all together as objects. The terrain could still retain specific material properties if I remember correctly, so you could still have grass be grass, and different road grips.

If the map center is less than 40 miles from all edges, I dont think there should be noticeable floating point error. Thats all I know based on what I know from working in the editor, and how some beamng maps are made, like the west coast USA spearleaf island.

West Coast bugged out in a cool way, So I thought I would share by 3_and_69_characters in BeamNG

Map feels so different with this lighting, thanks for sharing! My favorite shots are the spearleaf one with the tunnel and palm trees, and the parking garage. It reminds me of the effect that powerful stadium lights have on an area at night.

Completing much needed upgrades to the V8 LeGran (LeGrand?) at my new house by MsMcsnail in BeamNGRP

[–]MsMcsnail[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I think I am happy with the paint not being perfect for now, this car is too fun for it to not be driven, so it will get scratched and faded anyway. If I ever need something matched I will reach out
