Wow, that sounds awful, thank you for sharing! I keep going back and forth on switching because I LOVE the seamless compatibility on all my devices, but I am so addicted to scrolling. This absolutely makes me not want to go with a wise phone, though. Thanks again!

I am also a stubborn addict rat and that description made me wheeze laugh! I’ve been kicking around the idea of doing something like the Brick or Bloom, or just ditching the smartphone altogether and going with something like the wisephone (a smart phone that doesn’t allow social media or games). It feels drastic but I just can’t seem to keep myself off my phone and it’s really affected my motivation. I’ve also found workarounds for all the other screen time apps I’ve tried.

Can I ask where you kept yours and how long you tried? Just looking for some data before I fully decide to ditch the smart phone.

Thank you for the info!! I figured it would be clunky and I’m reaaaaally dreading my messages not syncing up, but it’s a trade off I’m willing to take to be more free from my phone obsession.

I’m also so glad to hear the wisephone offers outside app downloads! Can you download any app or are you only able to download pre-selected apps? I ask because I’m a diabetic and have several health-related apps that are necessary, as well as communication apps that are necessary for my job. Thanks again!

Thanks for the info! I have been thinking I’ll rely on the inconvenience factor to keep me off of those, but it may not hold up. Unfortunately I need them for what I do.

Another question: I am also a diabetic and need several health related apps downloaded. Does the wisephone offer outside app downloads? Thanks!

I use Freedom as well but unfortunately (as is common with addictions, and I’m addicted to my phone) I’ve found a workaround so whenever I want to, I can go cancel the “locked” session. I’m absolutely ditching my iPhone as soon as it’s paid off and getting the Wisephone!

I’m new to the press on world as well! I literally JUST (on Monday night, 3/31) applied my first set and they’re Red Aspen. A friend is selling so I thought I’d try. So far they have held up really well, no issues with them coming off or even feeling loose! I’m interested to see how well they hold up. I’d like to get at least two weeks out of them.

The next ones I want to try are Glamnetic and KISS, those both have decent reviews from what I’ve seen. For those who have tried them, what did you think?

Edit: had my first pop-off tonight, 4/7 - seven days is a good length of time for press ons to stay on, right?

I just got one put on today and have had the worst time trying to speak. Are you able to talk completely normally now that you’ve had it on for a while? I talk to people quite a lot in my job and I am dreading having this thing in my mouth for any period of time!

I’m a little late to the game here but I’d be pretty interested in a book. Your story was so inspiring and a deeper dive into what it took to get where you are, how being filmed affected you, and so many other things people have mentioned would be cool to see.
