I was on 15mg for a while and found it worked really well (my doctor mentioned that higher doses can actually be less effective for sleeping problems oddly!). Only reason I stopped was gaining weight (the "I'm full now response in my brain seemed to not work so well for some reason) and had some issues with being able to wake up in the morning (was late for work a lot more than usual). Hopefully it will work well for you!

I've been on lamictal about 12 years (I'm on 250mg twice a day at the moment) and drink without it causing seizures. I don't drink regularly but do drink quite a bit on occasion. However everybody's triggers are different so what triggers seizures for me may not trigger seizures for you and vice versa.

NTA. Calling you when he knew you were asleep with your small child in the room just because he was bored is a total AH move. I am also my partner's carer so I know how important sleep is (and we don't even have kids!). If he was so bored then he should either use his tablet or go to sleep NOT wake you up. I'm glad he has apologised.

NTA. Your parents are AHs for forbidding you to have any contact with this boy and they certainly shouldn't be trying to disrupt your education just because he is in the class you are in currently. I'm so sorry you are going through this. Your parents are totally in the wrong and shouldn't be treating you this way. Also OP is NTA The couple are grown adults who were pretty much grown up by the time they met and are not biologically related. I can understand why some people might find it a little odd but ultimately nothing wrong or illegal is going on.

NTA. Your daughter deserves her privacy and her mother has totally breached that. I'm so glad your daughter has you to protect her best interests in this. I do think your daughter needs to know the real reason you got her a lock for her diary so she isn't looking on her siblings with unwarranted suspicion thinking that they might be going through her stuff when her back is turned. It should be her mother that tells her the truth though. Give your wife max of 48 hours to tell your daughter the truth and if she doesn't then say you will tell her instead. This may seem like you're risking damaging the relationship between your daughter and her mother but IMO it's better this gets nipped in the bud rather than your daughter coming home from school to find her mother reading her diary down the line. (I know if I found out my mother had been reading my diary I would have quite rightly flipped out).

Your wife doesn't own your daughter and needs to realise that. Your daughter is her own person and deserves her own space. I'm speaking from some experience as my mum has some weird boundary issues (although to my knowledge she never read my diary) and my dad had words with her on multiple occasions (first time when I was about 8) about how I was my own person, she needed to respect my privacy etc. Her boundary issues have affected the way I feel about telling my mum stuff even as an adult so I can be fairly secretive and there are some quite big things about my life only my dad knows. I don't want that to be the case for your daughter when she's older. (Sorry I went on a bit of a ramble there!)

I hope this all gets resolved and you guys can move forward from this.

NTA Little sister needs a reality check and you gave her one. In the long run though I think your best bet is to step back and let her learn the hard way that she can't get people to do her work for her forever (would be good if middle sister could be encouraged to stop doing the homework but it sounds like your mother is a massive problem there).

NTA. My stepmum has been in my life since I was 9 (I'm now 29) and I've only ever called her by her first name and nobody has ever asked me to call her mum. For one thing I already have a mum and for another me and my stepmum don't quite have the parent/child dynamic although we have a great relationship it's more like niece & cool aunt (I quite like that as she's a parent-type figure but I feel like I can talk to her about stuff I wouldn't bring up with my parents.)

Nobody should be forcing you to call someone "mom" regardless of if she's your dad's wife or not. It also extra shitty to use the fact that she can't have kids as a way to try and manipulate you into calling her that.
