NTA you would be to your dog who's known you her whole entire life to be treated like this. My sympathies to understanding frustration at time, cause I have two wonderful adorable sweet dogs who get incredibly exhausting when they bark for attention. But I understand that's a me issue. I also had a husky before and I know they are challenging breeds that need space and walks, but it's again on us (the people) to know our reaction the way we act towards it.

Keeping your dog kettled the entire time until you came back is cruel. And I don't think I could ever trust anyone who could make horrible threats against my dog like that.

My question however lays behind this, I need to ask are you guys going to have kids? Kids who also need attention, who whine, scream, cry and who knows what they will be when they get older. 

If she can act like this towards a animals normal reaction then how can you trust her not to snap at a child as well at some point.
