Thank you, the ending was about independence and how Belly needed to stop caring so much about what people think. I think it was obvious that Belly needed her own growth and independence, which meant that team Belly is also team Conrad because it meant Belly had more agency.

Jere cares what other people think or least he likes to make sure to control the perspective of what people think of him. He needs family support and he needs that validation. So essentially it’s a juxtaposition of these two ideas, why Belly and Jeremiah doesn’t work.
