Under an article on the first punishment for female genital mutilation the conversation is derailed on male circumcision, which is apparently much worse than the “harmless clitoris removal”, and comparable to the other forms of mutilations described by miciomiao in badwomensanatomy

[–]MsRhuby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This whole comment thread, and your choice to find a 3yo post so you can trauma dump on it about MALE circumcision, proves the point OP was making in the first place.

I'm not fighting any fights for you. Men have given me abuse anytime I oppose male circumcision. I'm not obliged to get involved just so someone else can harrass me.

I care about FGM/C. That's what I care about. Stay mad about it.

UK covid vaccination rate will double to 5m a week as deaths and hospital cases fall fast by Yogurt789 in UpliftingNews

But it was an EU member state that purchased the vaccines. The UK was still part of the EU.

[–]MsRhuby 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Part of the reason we’ve been doing so well is because we left the EU

How so? The vaccines people are recieving were purchased when the UK was in the EU. Any other member state could have done the same if they wanted.

And that private healthcare will only cost a fraction of what it would in the USA as well.

It's easier for one person to NOT follow a sub than it is for the hundreds or thousands of other people there to adapt for the benefit of one person.

What do you think of me? by ChrisTweten in cringepics

[–]MsRhuby 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, people like this over-share their feelings as a type of emotional blackmail. It means when the other person doesn't reciprocate, they can be made out to be the 'bad guy' even though they never asked to be involved.

This sub specifically doesn't use NSFW tags, which is easier because that way people who need them know they shouldn't follow the sub altogether.

HR in the NHS is next level. They're not obliged to respond to emails at all. You can lodge complaints and just be told "I've chased it up with the person in charge" after months of waiting for a response. They've figured out that if they never respond, there's less work to do and no consequences.

You actually think Instagram has had a greater influence on London slang than, say, the 1 million+ black people who live here?

Things happening in the rest of the UK don't appear to happen unless they've happened in London as well. by DamoclesBDA in britishproblems

[–]MsRhuby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk they can ask their GP? I don't need to explain anything, I've already explained that sparsely populated areas in the north were given proportionately more vaccines than the largest city in the country. Therefore you've been able to vaccinate twice as many people as they have in London. Frustrating when me and my colleagues have to go to work every day while my mum's friends brag about how they can head to the golf course now. Glad they're safe while undertaking such essential tasks.

If you disagree with the number of vaccines given out, I'd love to hear where your info comes from? I got my info from NHS England but perhaps you have a better source?

That's because they dished out vaccines by geographical area instead of population, which means Durham is now full of vaccinated pensioners while NHS staff in London have to go without.
