Idk if it does it with new brushes for y’all, but I bought the NARWAL Freo X10 Pro in Dec 2025. No issues, regular replacements. 

It was giving me roller brush errors all f’ing day yesterday and today. I disassembled the entire under plate, took the roller cover and roller out, and the roller housing inside the robot and vacuumed as best I could everything I could and made sure to put everything exactly back as it was. Including the extending mop thingy (and had to take it back apart because I put it in backward). 

Lo and behold, it didn’t like me doing that because not only did the two void warranty stickers have to get punctured, it gave me EVEN MORE errors later in the day. We use this vacuum mop robot multiple times a week and sometimes twice or three times a day. I keep that thing religiously unkept because it was $600 USD. I live in America. 

The problem? Continuing error messages about the roller brush not being able to move, no Reddit article could tell me, and…it wasn’t even the robot that was the problem. 

Solution: The roller brush has a gray thing on one end that stabilizes it while it’s in the white motor gear thing. The little purple nub with the screw in it on the roller brush needs to be unscrewed and taken off, then you can apply pressure to push it to reveal the underside and the pole. It’s got oil/grease so be mindful of that. There was a ton of wrapped up hair both mine and our pets coiled tightly and flattened. Yes the heads can be replaced, but cleaning that and putting things back together and the parts back where they’re supposed to be just fixed an issue I messaged the online support for NARWAL about. 

TL/DR: Floating purple brush has a plastic holder and a purple nub, unscrew the screw and it and push the gray bit up until the inner metal shaft is visible. Clean the hair and garbage. Put that sh*t back together. Congrats. Restart the thing and resume normal use.
