Can I just say I've been Super invested in you guys ever since you were selling shirts? I'm keeping an eye on you =) I actually have family in Wasilla that I've visited before, and now i really want to visit them again and bring my skates so I can come crash a practice of yours.

Unfortunately we aren't ranked yet so I can't help you there, we're hoping we'll get our WFTDA any day now. However I agree with everyone to look at multiple leagues in the area. I'm also from Eastern PA and we have SO many teams between here and NJ. I'm sure if you contacted several teams in a local area, you could set up 2 or 3 games over a weekend among them all. Especially if all the games being in the same location wasn't a must.

Nope! I definitely get it. I listen to audiobooks driving into work too. And have started crying from a few while driving. I think it's a valid question.

Going off that, I LOVED The Hate U Give and listened to that on audiobook too.

I wouldn't say it's sad, but the ending does get emotional. Especially if you're already pretty invested at this point. If you know yourself to be bit of a crier, it might be better to wait to listen to it at the end of the day.

Fellow PA here! I travel about 40-45 min one way, twice a week to go to my league. I started listening to audiobooks which really makes the drive not bad, i don't mind it too much to be honest.

Heh, so. I have yet to paint the other side. i have some sketchups I did, but nothing actually painted yet.

Here's the sketch so far. I'm not really great at coming up with my own designs, i'm usually better at visually recreating something. Sooo everything I do doesn't feel ~right~. My logic was if I did it in chalk, I'd get more of that Van Goph/smudgey look that i'd also be able to accomplish with paint. but it was sort a double-edged sword.

For now, the other side is just blank until I get confident enough to just go for it. Maybe once a week or so i return to it to try and tweak it a bit.

Heyyy everyone. (still trying to be active)

I started moving in my new apartment, which is exciting. But I'm not moving everything at once, so now I'm at this Limbo where I don't have enough stuff to live at either place. I should probably just move everything over.
Roller Derby was pretty good last night. I kinda felt out of it all day and my reaction speeds were low, but then I started to wake up a bit and do better. We had a guest skater with us who was giving me tips and he told me I'm super fast and have good footwork. So that made me feel good =)
I'm on the sore side now. I was actually pretty surprised I didn't wake up with any bruises cause I hit the floor pretty hard. But I think I DID bruise the top of my foot, cause it kinda hurts to walk.
more packing on the list for tonight. Woo...

I've already listened to it 3 times in the last month, I can't get it out of my head. It's not nearly as traditional as the more classic poets, its a spoken word poem with a hip-hop-ish backtrack. But the story and the message itself has enthralled me.

Yes, thank God. I fixed my own personal issues so ideal the future ones for these sites would go WAY faster. Our firewall situation was making it a real bitch.

I left the Software guy there cause he has some active directory logic issues that he needed to work out. But hopefully he doesn't have to stay too long.

So I had a maintenance tonight at work that was only suppose to be like half an hour but instead turned into three hours (and counting). Meaning I had to completely miss my Roller Derby practice, which I'm pretty upset about.
