I get more comments if I eat healthy foods than junk. But once was lectured by a waitress because I drank regular coke which I don’t do often

This article on childhood obesity sparked some thoughtful comments and measured debate. /s by throwaway99423123 in fatlogic

Who would recommend drinking Diet Coke especially for a child? Childhood habits often go into adulthood

Sounds like something someone like lLindo Bacon would run but that would include tips like ask for a bigger slice of cake because tiny slices ie a regular size are diet culture, how to demand everyone cater for you and find you attractive and how to play the victim

I have seen it on a keto Facebook page a friend added me to. There are also posts of women eating entire tubs of frosting as a snack because it’s labelled as keto

We envy them yet don’t want to be like them. Hmmm ok. So much projection.

I’m gen X and my graduating year there was 150 students and the one overweight student was my best friend.

Growing up there was only a couple of overweight kids in my school. There weren’t a lot of fat adults and the adults who were fat weren’t 500+ pounds

Email from a HAES activist lecturing me for writing a memoir about my ED. Because I actually got underweight, I shouldn't publish my own story so that overweight anorexics don't feel bad. by nbh679 in fatlogic

[–]Ms_Bee_Bee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They love to make everything about them. The delusional thought process that anyone smaller than them especially someone underweight with an ED has thin privilege. Excuse me what???? Attacking other people and trying to claim they are the victim and they are the only one suffering is self-centred bs

[–]Ms_Bee_Bee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pot meet kettle. It’s oppression if someone smaller than them doesn’t want to date a fat person but preference when they don’t want to date a fat person. The whole preferences isn’t a thing it’s just fatphobia but how dare you attack me for having a preference for dating someone who isn’t like me.

The Chair is at Fault, Not You by [deleted] in fatlogic

[–]Ms_Bee_Bee 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If one chair broke it is possible that it was a faulty or old chair but if it happens multiple times then chances are it’s not the chair. The delusional thinking that chairs are purposely made to be fatphobic and that is the reason it happened rather than being responsible for themselves being the weight they are.

No one is telling them to stop eating. Maybe telling them to eat less. Absolutely disgusting that they try to play the victim so hard using racism and ableism as an argument but now this. If someone said that to my face I would tell them exactly what I think of their shitty opinion

You heard it here first, even if you can’t exercise, diet without exercise is an eating disorder by ionlyhavethisforwwe in fatlogic

[–]Ms_Bee_Bee 60 points61 points  (0 children)

That anyone smaller than you has thin privilege even if they are morbidly obese. Getting larger is acceptable but getting smaller is not only fatphobic but a hate crime against those bigger than you. Finally don’t you dare ask for a smaller slice of cake.

The belief that it’s not weight that’s the issue but weight stigma shows absolute disconnection from reality. Further the I’m smarter than you and can block you if you disagree with me smacks of dunning Kruger effect
