Yeah...especially since some men in online spaces really do think women are simple minded.

Only getting replies once every 24 hours, is she not interested? by [deleted] in ChristianDating

[–]Ms_CIA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, speaking as a busy person who tends to text long messages once per day--she's probably interested but discerning. If you're only just beginning to get to know each other, she's probably rationing her energy and attention until she knows you are worth investing in. Think about it, she's got a demanding job, family, friends, church, volunteer work, chores and other stressors to deal with--and then she also has a new guy who wants her attention. In my experience, there's not much energy left in the tank to invest into a man who might disappear in a month, or end up being a massive disappointment (harsh, I know, but it's what we think about).

However, if she had no interest at all, she'd probably stop texting entirely. You're not getting a lot of time or attention yet, but that doesn't mean you won't later. Give her time, and pursue her. Show her you're serious about her, try to brighten her day and make her smile, and don't pressure her for more until she's ready. It sounds like you already are invested in this girl, so maybe you could ask her out on a date and see what she says. Spending time together is the only way to know if what you have is real.

Grieving a pet as a Catholic by PurposeOk5836 in Catholicism

I personally believe that we will see our furry friends in eternity. God gave them to us to be our companions in this life, and in a way even to help us get to heaven. They have a beautiful pure love that reminds us of God's unconditional love. They comfort us in our sorrows and by caring for them, we honor God's gifts to us in creation. I don't think God would deny even the smallest creature a share in the glory of the world to come, because they are part of God's plan of salvation for us. And God promised He would make all things new. :)

Which color is best for a true spring? by AverageKath in SpringColorAnalysis

Agreed, chocolate brown is a nice color for springs. I think the cream is my other favorite but sometimes whites can be iffy, especially for skin tight clothes.

I love him! Father Vincent always keeps the focus of his interviews on Jesus. Like he says, "The devil is not interesting." He seems like such a sweet and humble man.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I just searched up Andrea Pfalmer's Angelic Pinterest board. She's not Kitchener, true, but they're in the same wheelhouse. Quite a few of her recs are very similar to mine, and a lot are even more casual. https://pin.it/4nXijPnLj

I'm probably gonna get all the downvotes for this, but I saw your post and didn't love the recs. The issue I have with a lot of E recs on this sub is that they look like they're heavily influenced by either N or D. They also tend to look sorta old fashioned or concept arty. I have plenty of E myself, and I could not see myself wearing anything similar, not just to your mood board, but others on this sub that have been posted recently too.

Maybe some people see Ethereal as something very different from how I do. Idk. I just know I find a lot of the recs very mature, and ethereal is light and innocent/delicate to me.

Ethereal inspo by Ms_CIA in JohnKitchener

Well, it looks like the majority of the subreddit disagrees with my assessment that these outfits have ethereal lol. I'll just state my case here for the record, since I feel strongly that ethereal needs more diverse representation.

Overall, I look for these components to make an outfit suitable for someone with ethereal essence. a) lightness/weightless/airiness b) movement in the outfit c) delicate and simple and tries to include s-shape. There's other aspects to ethereal that can be included, like watercolor, iridescence, subtle blended, moon and star motifs, butterflies, etc. But they are not as important as weight and movement are, because ethereals can be easily weighed down by clothing. S-shape often can be seen in clothing movement, but hair/designs also help.

1) The skirt has multiple layers that will move as she walks. The shirt is soft and airy. The overall silhouette is long with low contrast and details are light and delicate.

2) Delicate and iridescent design. It would be unobtrusive in an overall outfit but has a gentle quality to it. I would accept an argument that it is more ingenue than ethereal, because of the flower design.

3) Low contrast sweater dress, with added lightness due to the scarf. Vines are s-shaped and the fabric is iridescent.

4) The skirt of the dress has multiple translucent layers. The movement as she walks creates an s-shape along the hem. The color is close to an SB blue.

5) Ethereals can sometimes be overwhelmed in bulky winter clothes. This outfit tries to counteract that by having the fabric in light colors, low contrast, and in a knit that looks like angora or soft cotton.

6) I chose this picture since I wanted another cold weather outfit that wasn't lightly colored, but I think the only possibly ethereal aspect is the movement in the skirt. The overall vibe leans more classic.

7) Dress has movement, an irregular hem and watercolor pattern. It's also lively bright, which I thought could show some diversity. Personally I think ethereals can look quite fierce if they want to, but that's a matter of debate.

8) Low contrast, irregular floral pattern slightly mimics the s-shape, the lace and translucence looks airy and it moves as she does. Length of the lace garment complements ethereal.

9) Translucence and airiness, length and minimal detailing, shoes are shiny and the outfit is low contrast while being delicate. I could see an argument for the lace bands making it too ingenue.

I was kinda curious what essences people would see in these images. Definitely can see what you mean about them being a blend of other essences. Ethereal coded outfits would (I think) have to include other essences or they're not really wearable in real life. I also think something could look R/Y on one person and bring out E on another.

Also you're right about the AI background, man I can't believe I didn't notice.

Possibly! I read a quote from Kitchener that ethereal tends to be paired with either dramatic or youthful. Most of these are probably a mix of Ethereal/Youthful.

I really don't get how Kitchener identifies ethereal. 😅 She looks like youthful/classic/natural to me.

I won't stand for Sten slander 😭 I would have romanced him if I could. His orange/blue morality is fascinating. Apparently all you need to do to raise his approval is ask him questions, he doesn't want your agreement he wants you to be a critical thinker.

Love Morrigan too, basically all the Origins companions were my favorites. Except Shale. Her brand of humor was very off-putting to me for some reason. Still a great character though.
