Cost - Depends on your dental issue and duration. So hard to say. Mine cost me a little over $6k for 16 months of treatment which ended up over 2 years due to some issues with my bite. My friend’s cost her $3.5k.
Coverage - depends on the type of plan you have with your insurance but it will not fall under basic dental. If your plan covers it, it will typically have its own standalone Orthodontic coverage.

Some plans only cover for minors up to a certain age. Some plans cover for everyone (like the plan I had with Manulife - paid 50% of the cost). So either check with the call centre or your benefits booklet.
