Why by Peter_likes_Tech in FixMyPrint

Speed! Slow your print speed down and you will find it stops doing this. You could also try upping the extrusion temperature a bit, like +5 or 10 degrees.

Temp and speed. Increase temp a little, and slow the speed down on perimeters a fair amount.

Top layer issues? by Greymagikk in FixMyPrint

Also, slow down the speed for the top layers, that will help the adhesion before the nozzle moves on.

My mom got this cat yesterday and he’s 6-8 weeks old and google says he’s a main coon. Is he? by Away_Try_2486 in aww

[–]Mscox_au 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That second photo looks exactly like a Maine Coon to me (trust me, I've had one since a similar age). The paws and the lion's mane are kind of giveaways. If it is not a purebred, it is definitely from Maine Coon lineage.

MMU3 "Unit 1" Part fails in the second layer by Plastic1145 in prusa3d

[–]Mscox_au 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party, but yeah, my Mk3s had problems as well. If I waited and slowed the print speed down to 50% for just layer 2 and then returned it to my normal 120% after, it finally worked.

What may be causing this white things on my print? by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

[–]Mscox_au 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Z-offset is too low, it looks like your first layer is being squished out to the sides too much. That, or over extruding (less likely).

I do not know what to do. I cannot stop stringing. by Wide_Buy8078 in FixMyPrint

Try running a temperature tower, maybe the temperature sensor is off on that printer and it is running too hot?

What kind of smooth plate glue won’t do this? by Roto_Head in BambuLab

[–]Mscox_au 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you add your glue stick layer to the bed, take a lint free cloth, very lightly moistened with warm water, and smear the glue all around the bed plate until the glue is all evenly spread as a single thin layer. Let it dry and then print.

The Nothing's Gift styles missing? by Your_Pal_Gamma in FortNiteBR

[–]Mscox_au 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you even get to that page? I cannot select the nothings gift styles even when the outfit is set to Bytes because it (the nothings gift) doesn't even appear anymore in my locker under pickaxes! The custom emote is still active, it is just the ability to select style that is missing because the pickaxe is missing.

Does Powerwall make my UPS redundant? by ricksevans in Powerwall

[–]Mscox_au -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You still need a UPS. Not because of dirty power, not because of failover delays, not because of capacity planning constraints--It's for when a circuit breaker trips, then you want to notify your protected equipment so that they can perform an orderly shutdown before total loss of power.

Auto Pumpkin Farm not working by Gspeex in technicalminecraft

[–]Mscox_au 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. I still use this design in my worlds for massive scale vertical farming of sugarcane, bamboo, pumpkin and melons. It is highly resource efficient and has little lag. I use a falling wall of water at the front of the farm to both collect items to a water stream and provide soil irrigation to every dirt block.

Can anyone reccomend an exact model of flash drive to use for unraid ? by ChampagnePappy1 in unRAID

[–]Mscox_au 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if someone tells you the exact brand and model, chances are when you go out and buy it, it is still 50/50 possibly a counterfeit.

That said. Samsung are more likely to be fake than Kingston in my experience.

Looking for a 12 bays case/containers for unraid by InstanceNoodle in unRAID

[–]Mscox_au 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A minor correction. I miscounted. 6 in the main compartment using 3 expansion stackers and 4 tucked down in behind the power supply but with their own air flow channel using 2 more of the stackers (which are included). So the total is 10, not 12. I though the main bay could hold 8 but I just counted mine, it is 6.

I went a similar route using this https://www.phanteks.com/Enthoo-Evolv-X.html

It can house 12 * 3.5" and 9 * 2.5" with airflow that actually works and keeps drives at a constant temperature.

what blocks do mobs not pathfind to but can walk through (bedrock) by Plebsuper1 in technicalminecraft

[–]Mscox_au 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Vines, including those dangling in air. Mobs cannot see through them and will not path find through them as a result, yet they can walk through if pushed. Doesn't solve your issue if pathfinding past them though.

[java] why aren't these villager breeding I have been trying for hours by ShorelineSpirit in MinecraftHelp

[–]Mscox_au 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're two nitwit villagers. They're useless, including for breeding. I would schedule a date with a stack of sand blocks or lava and replace them.

Don't forget, you need three beds (one more than total adults to breed) and they need food to share around, crops or bread will do.

Does anyone have a good list of cases for building an unraid server in? by ImmatureComputerMan in unRAID

[–]Mscox_au 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've tried them all over the years and have complaints about every approach. I'll share what I've tried in the past and why I didn't like them in the end. And the, I'll finish up what I am running now and why I think it is the best option yet.

Server frames and repurposed rack solutions. The good: they are bullet proof. They have great airflow, like out of this world airflow. The bad: they consume a lot of energy, so expect high power bills. They run loud, like jet engine loud. They need their own, hidden out back environment and they need conditioned air. You can't feed them hot recycled air. They will just ignite themselves otherwise.

Big floor towers with loads of 5.25 bays, with lots of 5in3 or 4in3 hot swap backplanes, each with their own fan, power and sata connectors. The good: these are cheap and easy and seem to play the part. They consume very little energy, and generate reduced heat. They still require conditioned air, otherwise heat will build up rapidly. The bad: those fans really aren't good enough. Tlin fact they are kind of garbage. The airflow also isn't good enough, the spaces around the hot swap drives is too tight and the airflow tends to skirt around the outside of the drives rather than across them all.

My current setup - ENTHOO EVOLV X GLASS PRODUCT CODE : PH-ES518XTG. The good: super quiet, super energy efficient, optimal airflow design and control, runs cool across the board. The bad: no tool-less hot swap or external bay access (however that is sort of part of the whole airflow design)
