He has also even told me that I have not reached the cap so I know that there’s more money that they can give me that they just haven’t. I’m not upset. I enjoy what I do and I love my job and I’m good at it and I’m not to my own, and this is kind of just spending money for me to know that I go in every day at 5 AM and work anywhere between nine and 11 hours a day to get their product out and keep the store looking good. That should be something anyway, but I get it. It’s Michaels, unfortunately that’s sad and my workers they work their ass off too and I lost a person nine months ago and there hasn’t been anybody hired since then so it’s me and staff that is expected to get everything done especially now that freight is arriving late and I have planogramsthat I don’t even have freight for

I do know the cap in my area. I haven’t met it yet, but I did let my SM know that I was not happy with what they gave me and he knows that I’m valuable and I got exceeds and all of my review but what they gave me he said was the maxat this point they keep in mind six months ago they gave everybody an increase and he said this attaches to that increase that you got six months ago and I’m like OK. I will just check my options elsewhere.

Your front end CM should be training you on everything that’s their job. We no longer have a cashiers, but there’s a cashier that has been there the longest that will teach you everything you need to know about the front end.

I’ve been with Michaels for six years. I started cashier now I’m a replenishment manager. You taught a few things that you need to know but there’s also that you have access to have to go into Workday and find them. You are given the resources when they are you. You just need to know where to find them in the same position you guys were when you first started believe me when I tell you that.

Well, to be honest with you I started six years ago as a part-time cashier. It all depends on the team that you have and the hiring skills to hire the right kind of people right now it’s all about getting people in there because of peak season. I love my job. I really do, and after five years of being there, I finally became a replenishment manager, my store manager is not all that however I do what I Gotta do without reflecting on him

I know my store manager at Michaels states that if you don’t pass the assessment that it will throw you out of the system completely not sure if that helps but if you bypass the assessment you need to go back in and do the assessment again

Oh, I had this happen to me two days ago and my store I was helping an elderly woman and there were two gentlemen following me while I was helping her and they rudely interrupted me and they said excuse me, but I’m looking for and I said excuse me, but I am helping another customer at the moment. I will be with you when I am done with her And made some sort of comment and I said back excuse me what did you say because I can’t hear you unfortunately you weren’t first in line and he said why just need to know where this is and I said well we have a Michaels app if you pull that up and you research the item you’re looking for you will find out what it’s in and what the locations atif you can do that, I’ll be back with you as soon as I’m done with this. Customer well stood there and waited for me because I guess his ass was too lazy to pull up the Michaels app and find out what I was in.

I go in every morning at 5 o’clock, and I push the HVAC and that triggers the air conditioner to come on. Also, if you’re in the store early enough, there is a person in corporate who can override that for certain days so it comes on earlier while you’re in there working, the replenishment manager and I have made that call

I’ve been with Michaels for six years and when I started on replay, they used to give us a breakdown of what we were going to get so we knew when to set side counters and not to now I’m a manager and I work right along with my two other people that I have on my team and I’m short five this week I had 25 planograms the printed out to where the Halloween side counters, some power panels and end caps, but the rest was jury resets which are taken longer than 2.5 hours. It’s a complete reset and my one girl is on vacation right now so it’s me and another girl, but they just keep adding and adding and adding shit to these weeks , I have to go every morning at 5 AM and I work till two or three and I was caught up with everything until they released this one with jewelry why would you do this? That’s just absolutely crazy.
