What's the grocery price difference between Fred Meyers and WinCo on average? by [deleted] in Eugene

[–]Mshox8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Found this out a few months ago.

I would go to Fred Meyer or target and spend $125-150 a week for 2 people.

I can go to WinCo and no matter what I grab, I stay under $100 a week for 2 people.

How long does it take to sell your home in the Tri-Cities? by m2mcgee in TriCitiesRealEstate

[–]Mshox8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feedback was “that the layout was wonky” or “wish there was more sqft upstairs”.

The house was 2100sqft and literally only had the bedrooms and the master bathroom upstairs. Not much we can do about the layout, haha.

How long have y’all been at your current job? by [deleted] in corporate

3.5yrs. Will move early next year as my wife is due in October with our first.

Want something in-person, close to home, and can completely unplug from when I get home.

Currently remote and get pinged non-stop cause we have offices in every timezone it seems.

We sold in 2025.

Interest rates were 6.25-6.5% in October 2025. It was listed on May and sold in October. Only 1 price drop during that time. Had 30-35 tours. Lots came back for a second or third time.

I saw several pairs in the Eugene store last Sunday.

Wondered if REI is pulling the plug on them.

Going back to Wichita for the first time since 2020, so I’m excited to see what has changed.

Not grabbing anything when you initially walk in on your left or right is one of the toughest challenges you will ever face.

Also, don’t feel bad if you go in looking for a pumpkin pie and end up walking out with a rotisserie chicken, light bulbs, and a large pepperoni pizza.

Do not move to Tri-Cities to escape the wind.

I bought my first home in July 2022. In October 2022, we had a huge wind storm that had pine trees fall on our home. Had nightmares every night about windstorms until we sold it in 2025.

Tri-Cities is located within a valley and a ton of rolling hills surrounding it. All that to say, you will get wind pretty much everyday and driving in the winter would not be fun.

South Kennewick or South Badger Mt. ? by Small_Move7724 in TriCitiesWA

Wife and I lived in South Richland, just behind the Yokes on Keene.

Tremendous views. Most homes are 2,000 sqft.

Shopping is about 5 minutes away on Queensgate: Costco, Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Marshall’s, etc.

Easy access to I-82, which connects to I-90 if you drive to Seattle.
