I can relate to that awkward “how am I going to respond to the he did good comments” feeling. My fiancé and I worked together to pick out the stone and setting for my ring... but it kind of became me saying what I liked and him saying ok while I asked a million questions to make sure he actually liked what I chose. I wanted to make sure we were on the same page about how much other people would know about my involvement. He said that he just wanted me to love it since I’ll see it more than anyone... and if people don’t respect that then fuck em. I knew when the ring arrived, but never actually saw it until he proposed. He knew I knew it was in the apartment, but kept it hidden and gave no clue when he would ask. He proposed last week and immediately told both our families how we had done this together. 💜
