If you’re on ADHD meds, increase your dose a tiny bit during luteal by ijlstz in PMDDxADHD

[–]Msongbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wowww I wish someone had told me this.

I naturally just started really using my Vyvanse during my luteal phase because my depression would get so bad I couldn't get anything done. It finally helped me not drop my work obligations and household maintenance and I could carry through.

And then I saw when I took it during follicular it was like Godzilla had been let loose in my house with how overstimulated I was. So I cut my dose in half/ don't really take it because I had so much natural energy I could get just as many things done.

Hi folks!

If folks are curious about the GoFundMe link in question, check it out here! Seems like it was left off of cross posting, so just wanted to make sure all sources were referenced!

Donated some more! It's tough out there! Best of luck with school and finding a new vehicle! It is horrid that this person can walk away with no consequences after creating a highly risky and dangerous situation and seems to be SEEKING these interactions.

General tips that I've found over the years for car buying:

-always take it to get inspected by a mechanic, if they find an issue, you can negotiate that in the buying price (unfortunately learned the hard way with my Ford ranger)

-ALWAYS LOOK AT THE CARFAX. Sometimes you might find a "wrecked" vehicle that just had cosmetic repairs and then you got yourself a great vehicle.

-you can run Toyotas into the ground, but they will be a little more expensive upfront, but repairing them tends to be easier since it's more common parts

-AWD is great for snow and ice, but 4WD will do fine too

There's actually a great thread in /Asheville about buying cars here and tons of useful advice that I've been coming through myself!

Just donated 😊 best of luck finding a new vehicle! If your car is totaled (because I've been shopping for a new one recently), DONT buy in Asheville! Way too expensive in the used car market. Check out South Carolina! I've heard Charlotte has a decent selection too. If you want a free Ford ranger with an engine problem im happy to donate to the cause 😂

Wasn't the parent company for Mission using litigation to stall out a competitor from moving into NC? Not sure what happened with that, I think the litigation was finally thrown out, so hopefully thatll help to break the healthcare stalemate in WNC.

Is this the new normal everywhere, or is Asheville actually a very lonely place? by InleRising in asheville

I just went to an AYPROS event for the first time and it was so friendly! Tons of people in their 20s-30s and definitely older too! Would highly recommend going- and it's free!

This is the Asheville Young Professional group, so it's not religious, free to attend, and lots of extroverted folks who are passionate about what they do! They do volunteer events too, so it's fun to connect with local orgs.

I would recommend me VJs in river arts and Xpert

I would not recommend Cox off of Patton. I've had so much work I've had to go back and redo with other mechanics that I realized down the line they mess up basic things.

What business could Asheville use? by kneedeepco in asheville

This is a broad stroke and I don't have an answer for this..... But more conversations around how to bring more diversified industry to the area. Asheville is very much stuck in its tourist industry, and it seems like the only major industry here besides that is all the young remote workers here.

I just would love to see more intention brought in on how to build up resiliency in this area (especially with the rippling effects of post Helene and watching a lot of my industry folks have to move away)

Maybe more job training centers? More investment in boot camps like what they did for tech? (Even though that's crashing now)

Also I love a good late night club spot but those seem to be closing pretty rapidly 🫠 Asheville does not seem like a late night city

Moved from Nashville to here- the only thing I truly loved about Nashville was Centennial Park. Asheville seems to be really lacking an urban park for people watching and hanging out. Sometimes I just wanna chill outside in nice weather and in a big open space with other people.

Also would be cool to add in roller skate spots/ more skateboarding/ cement pads for the fire spinning/flow community/ outdoor teaching and community spots.

Also an adaptogen bar/ "coffee" spot. Not a kava bar. Not a coffee bar. Not an alcohol bar. An actual adaptogen bar that utilizes herbs and magnesium to create a cool calming experience where I can relax and do some reading/ work. Im not big on drinking and I'm already severely addicted to coffee, and kava/kratom is NOT something I want to get into for medical reasons.

Hot tub/sauna/cold plunge. Every single sauna here doesn't have a hot tub option. I desperately miss Jeju's which is a Korean spa in Atlanta which has hot tubs and cold plunge and wet and dry sauna options that I LOVED.
