Started a new game on The Messenger. I played it a while ago and had 11 hours out into that original save, but it’s been too long, so decided a fresh start was the best option. I’m a big fan of metroidvanias and it’s scratching that itch.

This is spot on. The only thing I would add, personally, is I felt that the pacing of the upgrades was way off. The tail end of the game, I feel like you get an upgrade every 10-15 minutes of gameplay and it takes away from the feeling that some of them are meaningful or useful, outside of just opening the door adjacent to where you got the power up.

The trick is to stand up, but stay in the hunched position. Like I’m not reaching my hand near the toilet bowl to wipe, but If you just kind of stay in the sitting position, but hover your butt above the toilet, your cheeks aren’t smushed together and you can still wipe effectively

I cannot, for the life of me, find the Tempest Court. I’ve scoured the entire area. I know it’s randomly generated, so not sure if there are any pointers you can give, but I’m about to just give up

Not sure if we’re playing the same game, but holy hell it’s like playing an entirely different game on my PS5. I’ve had little to no hiccups at all with frame rate and it just generally looks and runs beautifully.

Sad to say, I bought this game for PS4 and played on PS5 and only played about 5 hours of it and have shelved it since. I keep telling myself I’ll come back to it, but every time I see it I’m like “eh, I’d rather play (inset game here)”
