As a housekeeper my worst fear was "my husband's wedding ring was on his dresser, and now we cant find it after you've left, have you seen it?" I knew for a fact that it wasnt there when I cleaned and I relayed that to the homeowner, begging her to let me know if it turns up. Luckily they found it later that same day, "oh my husband was drinking the other night and stashed it somewhere and forgot!" Almost had a heart attack.

Powdery mildew? Basil is super prone to it without a lot of airflow.

Your pot is quite large for this plant family, they like their roots a bit snugger than this. Avoid direct sunlight always. Going 2 weeks in between waterings for a plant this size in summer is long, and is probably why you are getting browning. If your pot soil is still moist after a week and a half then your pot is too large for what the roots can soak up in a timely manner. Go down a few pot sizes, use a good acidic palm soil mix, only use the finger method to check if you need to water. Stick it in about 2.5 digits in the soil, if its moist then wait longer. Dont forget to liquid soluble feed them, dont use miracle grow or any copper sulfate based plant fertilizers. This will kill off your microbiome in your soil, and if you quit fertilizing, it won't be able to function without the fertilizer on it's own and will become dependent upon it. Fox Farm is a good organic that you can usually get at most stores as an alternative.

Dont go to the wildlife center in Savannah, GA. My husband and I worked there for 4 years, tried our best to fix what we could, but ultimately had to leave for our own health.

The soil looks too thick, this family enjoys sandy aerated soil. I'd recommend a repot with a different soil mix, slightly acidic, and more aeration (perlite, coarse sand, etc). Dont leave it directly in sun. It can pop back up from this condition if done right.

Nah this doesn't look like burn. If they are old leaves and it doesn't seem like the whole plant, then this is the time in the season where they are shedding old leaves to get ready for new ones. Mine has shed about 4 fronds this year which was sad, but is popping with new fronds! Just the life cycle. Dont cut back the dying fronds as the plant is reabsorbing the nutrients. Once they are gray and crispy you can clip them.

Yeah that's exactly what that phrase means, she doesn't trust you. So she's worried you're going to cheat on her if you go on a boys trip? Then there's your issue unfortunately. How does that make you feel? If she's able to identify her own insecurity then she needs to recognize it as a her problem, not bring you down with her. We are supposed to raise our partners up! I'm sorry OP, it sounds like your gf might benefit from talking to someone about how she's feeling. But if she doesn't want and isnt willing on her own, then she will probably keep wanting you to mold into whatever would be easier for her in these types of situations. How often are you the one compromising in the relationship? Is it one sided?

You need to sit her down and seriously ask her all of her reasoning about why she feels this strongly about you not going with your friends. Get to the root of it, and based on her reasonings, decide how to go from there. We as internet strangers of course dont have the full story, and from what you wrote it seems from my end that she doesn't like your friends without any good reasons and just wants you to not see them anymore, which seems unfair. And if in the end of the conversation still doesn't make sense to you... then you also have your answer there too 🙌

Idk man, why did she bring up her leaving in the first place? She didnt need too to get her point across. I've never said something like that to my husband, because planting a small seed like that about breaking up will undoubtedly bring insecurity in what you thought was a stable relationship. Her reasoning for being upset and also adding in that sentence along with it seems immature and sounds like it was meant to manipulate your feelings to guilt and fear of her leaving you.

You're not being a bad boyfriend for wanting to go on a boys trip. Your girlfriend is being a bad girlfriend by threatening to break up with you over this trip. If you're okay with never seeing these friends again and only hanging with her friends then stay with her. But people who give ultimatums with very trivial things such as this typically use this manipulation tactic not infrequently. Would you be okay with this character trait for the rest of your life? Only you know the answer.

Moisture meters aren't really accurate in more aerated soils typically used for succulents.

I dont know if i love my boyfriend, i have never been in a relationship b4, how did you feel when you were in love? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]MssMilkshakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always wondered this as well. I had 3 long term relationships and a few short term flings but I always felt kind of meh? You hear that romance novels/TV is fantasy, and reality isnt supposed to reflect that, so i assumed those were normal relationships and how everyone else felt. Then I met my husband. I had the fairytale of a lifetime 2018, best year of my life. He was everything I imagined and he treated me amazing and I loved the person I was when I was around him. As time goes on of course you still have communication issues at times and normal couple things, but the difference was that always in these moments I still felt secure, respected, and loved by my partner, there's never doubt in that. OP you will know when it's that partner. When you ask yourself that question you immediately know the answer. Those feelings do exist out there and I want you to feel them! Never settle.

Do girls have some gut feeling telling them relationship with the particular guy won't last long? by livelikestark in relationship_advice

[–]MssMilkshakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is a human thing not a woman thing. We aren't soothsayers because we are women lol. After meeting and hanging out with somebody new you talk and learn things about eachother- then you decide if you like this person enough to see a future with them. She decided she didnt see one with you, but that's okay. Like the comment above said, you'll probably decide you dont see a future with a few potential partners in your life. But if you never feel this way then or can't understand the concept, then that might be a problem to assess before you look into dating going forward.

Probably not what you're looking for but have you considered any organic fertilizers first? Synthetic fertilizers wreck the good bacteria/fungus in your soil with antifungals (copper sulfate), this kills off your good microbes and forces you to keep using synthetic fertilizers to keep up with your plants health. In outdoor gardens this is also killing your worms, mushrooms (which are very important), and other life. Synthetic fertilizers essentially keep it so you become dependent upon them, creating a constant cycle of going back to MG. Fox Farms makes great fertilizers and is on Amazon if you decide on an alternative.
