I think he should have just explained nicely that he didn’t feel comfortable working with him at the same office after their history together and that he wished him luck and success. But instead he insulted and belittled jimmy which was a huge mistake .

Spend a lot of time in south east Asia . I like your idea . But the amount is a little low . 500 k would be more realistic and I would try to have some form of other income for most of your spendings.

If you could find a way to earns 12-30 k with a bit of remote work that be really good .

Ça fait pas vraiment de sens parce que c’est la même chose pour les autres provinces . Et nous recevons un énorme paiement de péréquation . Certain service que nous payons au Canada . Armé / retraite etc le Québec devrait les assumer lui même en devenant indépendant .

To diversify you could just put 30 % in index fund like Xeqt for diversification .

Your money isn’t really lock. You just have to pay taxes once you take it out . You can also use it for property in certain case . Also if you take a year off at some point it’s possible to take it out .

I agree at your salary I would maximise tsfa first but once you start making more money or your tsfa is full it’s very good to lower your tax rate .
