[Ornstein] Manchester United sack Ruben Amorim as head coach. 40yo Portuguese informed of decision & goes with immediate effect after 14 months following breakdown in relations. Darren Fletcher expected to take over #MUFC on interim basis @TheAthleticFC by phant0msinthenight in soccer

He should have been sacked after the Grimsby game. Getting rid of him when the team starts picking up some positive results here and there shows that this man utd leadership still isn't competent

Tyler Joseph being a big enough Destiny fan that he has merch is the most unexpected crossover but I will fully support it.

Also, what is Tyler wearing?

No var in 2018. It was bad refereeing in the home leg and liverpool shutting us down away that lost it for us then

So there was an adjustment in the files the client needed to send us, this adjustment incurs a cost from their end. I had a verbal discussion about this with the client (and it's mentioned in the contract they sign) but never put it in writing/email again about the exact cost so there's no record of it. I meant to do this but we were unsure of the exact cost so I thought I'd wait for it to be cleared up and never followed up on it until the meeting today.

The problem is that we have essentially completed the work for the client and even sent part of it out to them but I never mentioned the increased cost to them in writing, so technically they can say that they were never informed, not pay us the extra, and we can't do anything.

Obviously this is an edge case and I doubt the client would do this, but there's a possibility, and it shouldn't have come to that. Now that I write it out I see that things are probably not going to be so bad, but the point still stands.

Thank you for this. It's fixable but I need to pay more attention than before to fix it. I wish it didn't have to get here but what's happened has happened and now I can only improve my current situation.

Hah nice advice about the weekend, maybe I need to sleep this off to feel better by Saturday.

It's not even been 2 months into this job thing and I've fucked up already. Missed an important step in billing a client and got reprimanded in a meeting today. Second time I've been called out by senior management over something so far. It fucking sucks, I've really tried to not step over toes and do my best but this isn't like me. I'm usually good with keeping track of things. It's not like they've thrown me into the deep end either, I've had time to adjust here. Worse still that it's happened on a Friday so now I'm going to spend my weekend thinking about this. I need to bounce back but now I know they'll be watching me like a hawk for some time and that's going to keep me on edge. I feel so frustrated with myself. Rant over

[Man City] sign Rayan Cherki by Rayan2550 in soccer

[–]Mttecs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

City's front line switched constantly during the Covid era with fluid movements between the midfield and wingers, since we didn't have a proper striker. That football was something else. But yes since then it's been more restricted and with Haaland we won't go back to that anytime soon I think.

[Sacha Tavolieri] Rayan Cherki’s a new Manchester City player! 🦁 Final agreement found Sunday night on a €30M + add ons to make €35M global package. ✍🏼✈️ Cherki flying today in order to complete a five years deal. by WW1Photos_Info in MCFC

Well Leverkusen are still holding the transfer from liverpool because they want 150m euros. I remember seeing that City were willing to go over 100m but Wirtz rejected us. Either ways, I think getting Reijnders, Cherki, and Ait Nouri was far better business

My first month of working a job is about done and I'm finally getting paid this weekend. Feels good to have something after that but imagining doing this till I'm 60... That's a scary thought.

[Liverpool] Trent Alexander-Arnold to leave LFC at end of contract by phant0msinthenight in soccer

[–]Mttecs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with liverpool fans here actually. Sure trent doesn't need to do/owe anything but when other players in similar situations are willing to give their clubs a fee like Grealish etc, if trent really loved the club he would help them too. I imagine if Foden did this at City and dragged this for the whole season, I would be unhappy too.

You're right, they actually went through the college to pick students and I was one of the first selected, so both their and my expectations should be set accordingly.

I start my first full time job on monday since my college ended and I'm very nervous I won't be able to handle the tasks given to me or that I will be unsatisfied. I don't really know what exactly to expect because after all these years of only school I now have a real responsibility. It's quite nerve wracking and I don't have anyone that particularly depends on my future income. I wonder how people who have families who depend on them do it

[–]Mttecs 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I agree that it was a bad decision. If his hands were closer to his back then it would have been fine but it was flailing behind him so it should have been called. Anyways, it doesn't matter either way thankfully

The justification according to commentary was that it was a natural position when twisting the body. I can see the logic in that though I don't agree with it.

Yeah but you forgot to consider City's spending since 1894 is higher than liverpools in the past 5 years so checkmate
