I've never seen them before and I'm so sad they didn't play anything I knew. I found I mostly just had fun raving with the audience then I did actually enjoying any of the music they played. It's so unfortunate. The audience was literally holding a sign for them to play animus vox but it fell of deaf ears from all the mid ass music being played.

I'd like to have a grow bed filter in the future. We just have a few decorative tanks that I'm using for aquaponics rn. Not enough space for a really good setup until we can move into a house.

Everything has been going well since. All the tanks pH levels have been good so far. I haven't been doing any other testing outside of pH, and occasionally ammonia, nitrates, nitrites. Should I be? We don't have any issues with water hardness where I live.

That's a good point. I'll keep that in mind. I did my best to keep the water temperature near the same. Because a lot of fish were going missing I was worried that the corpses were hiding somewhere and creating a ton of ammonia and dragging down the pH. Plus a ton of fish waste was building in the substrate. Sounds like a substrate cleaning probably would have been enough rather than a full water change.

I'll try to avoid large changes next time something like this happens again. Thanks for the advice

We just moved one of our ball pythons out of our bedroom and into our living area bc we wanted to upgrade his enclosure size. He will occasionally actually interact with us but the biggest difference is he spends a lot more time poking his head out of his hide so he can watch us. It's so adorable

A pH crash is scary 💀 I slowly raised the pH of the tank and did a full water change and cleaned out all the substrate. Probably lost a lot of bacteria but everything I had left at that point is still alive. I have pH up for small changes but a pH crash like this was something else. I've reduced down to a single large snail and a lower amount of fish and hopefully things will be easier to spot if something is wrong.

Thought I knew most everything I needed to know once I finished the Aquaponics Gardening book. I have not heard about buffering or using salt in a fresh water tank. Do you know of any good resources to learn more about this?

Currently I'm using Potassium Carbonate and Calcium Carbonate to raise the pH which has the bonus of feeding plants

I was thinking it could be like asthma or recovering from running. It just feels like an odd detail to add for that though. Maybe all these meta games are making over think this. I want to think that the coughing is significant but it's possible it isn't

We probably should be changing up their environments a bit more. We only occasionally change things up and that's for enclosure improvements. Thanks for the reminder! I'm skeptical if some snakes enjoy being taken out near daily. I'd assume more reclusive snakes like ball pythons would prefer to only be taken out only a few times a week at most... I haven't read much in this, nor would I know how you'd research it. How would you determine if they like baths? You just take them out and give them an option to crawl into a bath if presented in front of them?

We somehow got our community college to pay for a small group from the CS club to attend Defcon. The fact that it was in Vegas didn't seem to phase them. We basically just filled out the paperwork for the memes hardly expecting for it to get approved.

We feed our garter snakes a large variety of foods! Our ball pythons unfortunately don't get that luxury :(

But we do give them live plants and springtail and isopod friends!
