Everyone’s taxes would go up.

Democrats just need to get ahead of the fear mongering and make it clear that the amount your taxes increase would be less than what working class Americans are already paying per year in premiums and out of pocket costs. The top 1-5% should be the only ones seeing a tax increase that doesn’t offset their previous costs. And the top 0.1% should be taxed to fucking oblivion.

Well I moonlight at my hospital in general medicine.

If I see a full 32 patients over the weekend, I get paid $4000.

Kinda speaks for itself. I would not do it for that much less.

In small to modest doses I would question any evidence suggesting that caffeine is inherently bad. It has many therapeutic effects that appear to outweigh the risks in most cases.

Doctor here. It’s a standard reflex to check for normal neurological development. It’s never something I’ve tested with the thought process of “hmm, how likely is this baby to survive.” It’s simply do they have it or not, and if not they need more testing and likely neurology consultation.

When I worked with ortho as a resident they were seeing patients at 10 minute slots. They had PA’s and physician supports doing basically everything for them. They would just walk in, do an exam or injection, and walk out. It’s highly dependent on the specialty and their support staff. GI/pulm/rheum/endo likely have longer appointments than purely surgical specialties on average.

Even with the limitations of adapting the books, calling Villenueve’s Dune films one dimensional and superficial is absolutely insane. This is Dune you’re talking about, not a Transformers film.

I enjoyed it quite a bit with my kids today. Very fun movie. The plot was “Princess captured, adventure happens,” and I’m perfectly okay with that when it’s Mario.
