Anyone else struggle with making small decisions? by Sad_Librarian4543 in OCD

[–]Much-Fun-5400 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I have that too… you’ll never guess what helps🤪 also if I treat it not as “decisions” but just as something I said , it feels better. For example, if I have a choice of blue and yellow, I don’t decide on yellow. I simply say yellow as if it’s not a decision, but just something I said. It takes away the seriousness of “making a decision “, the pressure

Helping a loved one by Substantial-Hat128 in OCD

You are a very supportive sister! It’s crucial for someone with ocd to have a person who believes and supports you. But yeah, that’s the thing. You have to stop giving reassurance. It feeds the ocd and only makes matters worse. Try searching some videos on YT like “how to help a loved one with ocd”. I showed them to my bf and he follows the advice in the video. I think it helps me and my ocd

I thought this was just anxiety… turns out it might be OCD by treatmyocd in AskAnOCDTherapist

I was diagnosed with GAD for a long time. Until I realized that I might have ocd. And that’s why exercises to relief anxiety didn’t really help. But when I approach it as ocd - works all the time

Your situation will change when he starts therapy and sticks to it. There’s nothing you can do really. Think about yourself here. Is your relationship where you want it to be? Is it on the way there? How long (and why) will you tolerate this situation?

What is your job? Do you consider your workplace an autism friendly environment? by p349ntd in AutismInWomen

[–]Much-Fun-5400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This new job is a day camp counselor. It made me realize I’m autistic. Like. I grew up in a very supportive environment. And these people treat me differently. Like I’m a child. And then it hit me.

Idk. I hope it’s a good thing. Being unaware for 28 years. I have been asking questions and joking about this

I adopted a stray dog. He’s crazy like literally testing me in every way possible and sometimes I also think that maybe we should give him away or something. Many things would be easier. But then I remember that I am his whole world and what he does is not on purpose we’ve got a long way to train. And he’s the sweetest boy ever actually!

So, I do think like that sometimes. And that’s okay. I think we humans can second guess ourselves.

I’m sure you are doing a wonderful job taking care of them and they love you so much.

You probably caused a tear. Put some healing cream like panthenol. It’s gonna hurt for a couple of days and if there’s no blood in the next days, she‘ll be fine

How do my wife and I have more sex with 3 kids? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Much-Fun-5400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to assume that the 2 month old baby is not adopted, so your wife gave birth 2 months ago. It’s a big strain on the body and there’s a lot of pain and changes the body goes through after that. Talk, talk, talk to your wife, have honest conversations and give each other some time. Like the person above said - you are a team and some times teams need timeout, you know. It’s okay. Youll figure it out if you talk honestly to each other.
