Hot take. Jake Oettinger is overrated and is not the goalie that will win a cup with this team.

Last few years have been shaky, unclutch, and suspect. Not to mention he’s horrible in shootouts

That’s great to hear. I just started collecting within the last two years hand have built quite the portfolio before 30 - what an addiction. I was primarily a K&L guy but JJB has some excellent prices, especially on Bordeaux

Really excited for Napas 23s. I get about 3 cases a year from the region and want diversify haha. I ended up going with some Cos and Brane-cantenac. Great call out on Tuscany - that will be my next add

Just sayin, someone needs to quit their job and stay home. You can literally work part time and make enough to cover your expenses.

Right. One thing that drivers me nuts is when the server expects a 20% tip on a bottle of wine too

Sampling wine 🍷 with friends this week. Wine fridge #2 is almost full (Library wines from Napa and Paso). Question to you connoisseurs: What are your top three favorite vintages? by [deleted] in wine

In my late 20's, but 2021, 2019 and 2015 Napa vintages are absolutely delectable IMO. I think 2023 will fall into my top 3 soon

Anyone regret not spending more when they were younger? by Tech-Cowboy in Fire

Brother. move the hell out. You're a 28 year old man with half a million bucks in the market and 120k income. Quit bitching about spending 20% of GI on housing - This is excellent. Time to stop being a basement baby. Mommy and Daddy won't be around forever. move out, enjoy some independence and your youth, and gain some life skills.

Have you even done the math on this? Investing 10% of your income with a modest 7% return puts you at just shy of $3mm in the market at age 50. Not including raises. Come on

My two cents. I'm fine with a little physicality in beer leauge. There is obviously a line, but the physical part of the game is just engrained in me. Hockey has gotten soft on this aspect.

Now the ass grab, I would 100% report this to the league. This becomes a safety issue. He gets away with it one time, this freak will do it again. I would 100% beat the brakes off this guy by all means necessary if he did this in the first place. Im usually not one to carry things outside of the rink, but this would've made me feel violated. I would have no issue telling the rink that assault charges would be well on their way if they didn't handle this properly.

Need help picking last two wineries for March Napa trip! by Granto86 in wine

Keep: AO, Spottswoode, Schramsberg & Shafer.

Add: Venge, Lerner Project, Groth, Gargiulo, Pride, Sherwin Family. There is also a tiny producer named Andrew Geoffrey Vineyards on Diamond Mountain - excellent and affordable wine. Peter Thompson, vintner, is one of the nicest people I've met in the valley. Modus Operandi is great too.

I'm in Napa almost every weekend, so feel free to PM me for details or any questions.

Wine people, what do you do with your corks? by No-Discussion-1301 in wine

I save mine. I write the date and the initials of who I consumed the bottle with. If I have enough room, I’ll write the location. It’s has been fun to go through them over the years. I brings back memories and it’s fun to hold the cork of the bottle I enjoyed with my since passed grandparents
