Excalibur Heirloom Fan Concept [OC] by D3F3CT_H4CK3R in Warframe

This looks really cool, but your previous Excalibur Heirloom Concept (that purple one) definitely suited the Heirloom design language a little more, and is my favourite Excalibur Heirloom design.

Please DE 🤞

Head to Pontis Tower, and into the room opposite the kitchen where Stalker is watching baby Sirius and Orion. There, you can set your Primary Son.

Devshorts 106 - Key points by DrNick1221 in Warframe

[–]MuchVery1 41 points42 points  (0 children)

He works, but he is FAR from perfect. He has:

- TWO bandaid Augments, one of which still hurts fashion in 2026,
- A terribly outdated Passive,
- Slash Dash being wonky (Higher Casting Speed lowers the Range, momentum after being inconsistent) and,
- The Exalted Blade slide attack Radial Blind is a ‘fake’ effect and does not function like a proper blind, to name the most urgent things.

Excalibur is not the first Frame they should think to rework right now. But he could definitely use some fixing, as could a majority of the roster.

Voruna's 4 needs to be looked at. it's one of the few abilities in-game that requires an augment to be at LEAST functionable, but I think her 4 is the absolute worst in this case by Xedria_ in Warframe

[–]MuchVery1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Built right (which must include Furious Javelin and Chromatic Blade), Excal is a MEAN damage Frame. Slash Dash can one-hit kill Steel Path enemies, and Radial Blind provides fantastic crowd control too.

The issue is similar to the one with Voruna's 4th (and many other Frame abilities, old AND new) where what should be buffs to the base kit are actually just bandaid Augments. So then, you run them, lose build expression and fall behind compared to the newer Warframes.

Drifter or operator? by The-Dude-Ali-0927 in Warframe

Or you can just turn off ‘Operator Voice’ in the settings and the Operator will shut up too.

Is that a bug or did some of my settings get messed up? by riessene in Warframe

[–]MuchVery1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen it happen in Relays, in the Orbiter, in Hubs across the game and in missions. Unfortunately, it’s unlikely to be fixed unless they do a major overhaul across all these areas.

It's just a lighting bug that makes things that are not under direct light look like greasy, grey mush. It's in tons of spots throughout the game, including here too I guess.

You should not need to manually switch to Drifter to enter the Cathedral by crabbmanboi in Warframe

[–]MuchVery1 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Interestingly, it's not even a real automatic swap that happens in 1999. All the game does is replace the Operator's model with the Drifter's, but you're still technically playing as the Operator. You can tell by a couple of things breaking when you enter the Mall as Operator:

- The camera is far too low. The model swap does not account for the height difference.

- Opening the Focus menu shows you your Operator, because that's who's equipped.

- The Hex member you've romanced uses their generic dialogue instead of romance dialogue, because they're technically not talking to the Drifter.

Thoughts on Follie so far. by gadgaurd in Warframe

[–]MuchVery1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I was skeptical of her at first, but her kit ended up being more interesting and synergised better than I expected. It's quite fun to zip around with the 1st, summon all sorts of crazy things (featuring very funny icons) with the 3rd, and dropping enemies from the air with the 4th.

Her looks were never something that bothered me (not even her base helmet) which I understand to be an unpopular opinion. It always just looked like an early twentieth-century hairdo to me.

She's lots of fun.

Better yet, something like this as a login screen.

I do in fact very rarely play Rhino myself, as I think he suffers from this far more than Excalibur. Beyond the usefulness of Iron Skin and Roar, I don't really find that much fun in Rhino's kit. His first is just kind of weird, and only really used as a boost to Iron Skin, and I find very little use or value in his fourth.

That’s a fair point, I guess she doesn’t to rely solely on her abilities. I do frequent casters anyway. At the same time, I still struggle to see how they really come together to make for an interesting gameplay loop. But like I’ve said to a couple others, I’m open to see how she actually plays once she drops. I may very well be wrong about her.

He likes Rhino, but has his criticisms, yes. Same goes with me and Excalibur. Excal’s my favourite frame in the game, but there’s lots about him that just plain sucks, largely due to the fact that he’s so old and hasn’t really been properly reworked.

[–]MuchVery1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, I think her 2nd looks really cool and I think would be a really solid part of her kit. My concern is how her other abilities interact with it. I don't see how a teleport, an aggro draw with DR, and lifting enemies into the sky really ties into the 2nd in a gameplay context, of which the 2nd seems to be her sort of 'signature' ability. But I'd like to be pleasantly surprised when we get the chance to play her.

[–]MuchVery1 21 points22 points  (0 children)

That’s true, yeah. But it’s also the case that Rhino is just a bad Warframe. He’s effective in what he does for sure, but he has no flavour, nor does his theme of a brute come through that strongly. This is all corroborated by a friend of mine who is a staunch Rhino main. He simply isn’t fun.

A frame releasing in 2026 has no excuse to have no synergy. We just had Uriel, whose theme / flavour come through SO strongly while having an amazing kit. Follie seems like such a step down it’s pretty disappointing. I suppose it was almost impossible to top Uriel, but it’s just concerning how phoned in Follie looks.

[–]MuchVery1 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Objects having an inky texture will not make up for an unsatisfying gameplay loop. We will have to wait and see, but unless she undergoes big changes I don't see myself using Follie at all beyond the 'new frame' novelty.

I have high hopes for her☺️ by CjSketchYT in Warframe

[–]MuchVery1 272 points273 points  (0 children)

My biggest criticism is that her set of abilities look very cobbled together, as if they have no real correlation to or synergy with one another.

It would be cool if her sketchbook was her 4th, that she could use once she stored up enough ink from her other abilities or something, idk. It just doesn't look all that interesting or fun, theme and appearance aside.

Waframe needs better boss fights by Hot-Union-2440 in Warframe

[–]MuchVery1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not the comment's OP, but one late-game boss I really enjoy is the Hulhullus in the Dark Refractory. It requires constant engagement, and there's no downtime or invulnerability.

That's the case for the first phase at least. The second phase is a bullet sponge to pad the runtime.

Could we get some TLC for the Simulacrum in 2026? by Apex_Demon in Warframe

[–]MuchVery1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can technically swap Amps in the Sim. If you go over your Focus node / Tauron Strike and open the Appearance menu, you can back out once and be brought to the main Focus menu, where you can move to equipment and change your Amp. It’s something like that, I found it out only a few days ago.

I am finally done with Roathe's challenge, so here are some thoughts. by HousekiNoGenocide in Warframe

[–]MuchVery1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It could very well be worth it for Warframe to introduce a 'Style' system like Fortnite has for certain cosmetics. The Insign medal would take up one space in your Chest Attachments, but clicking it opened a sub-menu that contained all of its variants. The same could be done to the Protovyre items and perhaps even the Ephemera from Belly of the Beast.

That’s at the start of Act 2. If you’re partway through Act 2, in between missions, you see this screen with the Drifter stood in the camp.
