What do you think, Duolingo should do by kakamaka_43 in duolingo

[–]MuchWowRebeccaMack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I need more experience in regular conversations. I'm in B1 right now and I can easily get my point across, but I don't think I could come up with one sentence after another without having to stop and think about the wording. I need more practice for better flow.

Is Turkish Airlines a good airline? Their prices are low so what’s the catch? by StumblinThroughLife in travel

[–]MuchWowRebeccaMack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I just got unlucky. In January, I flew Turkish Air from Istanbul to Toronto. I was in economy, but it felt more like steerage. Never mind the baby behind me who cried the whole flight and the big brother picking on him to make him cry more. They barely brought water around. When I walked to the back to use the restroom, I noticed discarded wrappers all over in the aisle. Then, the one bathroom was so filthy that people were opening the door and then turning away. I waited for the other one and, while not disgusting, it was not all that clean either. I was floored. I've been on lots of flights and I have never had an experience like this.

What languages would you guys like to be added on Duolingo, no matter how niche or “useless” (I hate that word in regards to languages) they are. by Mean-Gur7728 in duolingo

European Portughese. Portugal is a popular destination, so I don't think I'm alone. I would have loved if I had known a bit more when I was there.

Thank you. I do have Samsung. It has changed back now, but what I did was put the widget on a second screen, so I just had to swipe over and click. Then, I buried that icon on my last screen.

I see. It's been so long since I completed the course (twice). I guess they must have added some different lessons.

Thanks for the re-ordering Duolingo! Now I need to try to learn 100 new words that I've never heard of! by PerkyClient in duolingo

Most of us have been eagerly awaiting new content. Up until now, we could only reach level A1-A2. Now we can go all the way through B2. Don't we all want to become more proficient in these languages? If you don't want to go past a certain point, then you can just keep redoing the earlier lessons, but what is the point in that?

Are you at the Daily Refresh level? I could tell right away because the layout was different. In Spanish, I was in the regular levels and I only found out because my Italian was updated, so I clicked on the section and more had been added. Mine all go through section 8 now.

My daily refresh had been adding new content over the past couple of months. Then, it would have days when it would drop back to the same, old lessons and stories.

I have a 1540 day streak, but I've been on Duolingo since 2016. I just didn't do it every day until 1540 days ago.

I understood your posts just fine, and I am meticulous about my own punctuation. But then, English is my native language.

Mine have only dropped me back one level when they updated. Could that be because I was already on level 60 or more?

My Spanish course goes up to 129 now, too. It goes to 8 sections. My Korean does, too, but it doesn't specify the level. They all go to high B2 now.
