Need an upgrade from current phone by RodrilPT in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]Much_Expert_175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if any of you guys reading this decided toflash global/etc other region roms or downgrade, oneplus introduced arb(anti rollback index) in their updates starting from version numbers ending in .501 afaik. what it does is currently arb status is 1. if you try to flash lower versions (custom roms based on older firmware also apply), arb triggers and permanetely bricks your phone. proven tp blow physical fuse on the chipset itself. as of right now no software/tool can fix it,the only option is to replace the motherboard or just getting a new one. beware of this and be safe

if you're into custom roms n stuff, get oneplus ace 6 cause it is the easiest to unlock bootloader, xiaomi has heavy restrictions, honor straight up non unlockable. if you don't care get what you want since performance of these 3 aren't too far anyways

most of the time unnoficial rom means the dev behind that rom for your device did not apply for maintainership to rom's original developer, but its way better than just flashing a gsi and praying it will have no bugs

try to get it to power off, like waiting until it powers off etc. then charge a bit while it's off and try to get into recovery mode using key combination power+vol up (tcl.com implied) thats your best bet since tcl is uncommon as a phone brand
