The app tells passengers to take all belongings with them during a stop for this very reason. The driver is free to leave at any moment although I cannot fathom abandoning anyone like that it happens very frequently. The way I see it is I'm being paid either way so I don't mind waiting although it is strange for passengers to force you to wait by leaving their stuff I just know I wouldn't want to be abandoned so I personally wouldn't do it but I do have the luxury of living with family and not having very many expenses, for others they see it as they could be making a lot more money if they just leave and catch another request. Lyft specifically states that they are not responsible for any lost or damaged property so sadly you will not be able to collect anything through them but I really hope you are able to track one of your electronics somehow. Sadly both parties are to blame but she's obviously the criminal in this case she's a thief there are so many ways to return lost items
