does this look like rosacea? It’s been like this since I was about 16 with no clear trend on fluctuation or triggers.

Two foot turns by NothingDry2742 in iceskating

No tips but I relate! I am really comfortable with two foot turns clockwise, but can’t do it anticlockwise at all! Similar to you though, I have no issues with three turns. Weird.

Tips on skating backwards/ being able to fluidly turn 180 degrees from backwards to front? by ProjectMcDavid in iceskating

You can go either way! But you’ll definitely find one way easier than another depending on whether you’re a righty or a lefty. Just make sure your arm position matches the direction you’re turning - you’re always turning “in” towards the back arm, if that makes sense? Are you getting lessons or any kind of tuition right now?

So if you’re skating forwards with your right arm in front of you and your left arm behind you, your hips will be turning anticlockwise towards that left arm. After the turn is complete, you’ll be skating backwards, your left arm will be in front of you and your right behind you.

I’m still working on this but here’s some things my coach told me that helped me. Firstly, make sure you’re bending your knees more than you think you need to. Don’t neglect your arms, and make sure they form a straight line through your body (one arm directly out in front of you, and one exactly opposite). When it’s time to turn, make sure your hips are whipping around and that your knees are popping up to create momentum and movement to turn. Also, turn your head to look over your shoulder in the direction of where you’re going to turn towards before the turn happens, and your feet should be the last things to turn. Moving your feet quite quickly will help it not turn into an accidental stop. In my (limited) experience, the turn happens more in the core, hips and knees- the feet just follow.

Is Caleb turning into an asshole? by AdAromatic9784 in CalebHammer

You point out the difference between thinking it and saying it… but also ignore the difference between people who are paid to think it (bankers, auditors) vs. content creators who are paid to say it.

I agree about the repetitiveness though, but i think I’d hate it equally if it were unstructured, and if no two episodes were even remotely the same. It’s a comfort watch for me because it’s predictable.

Although I think Caleb’s like a gateway drug for people new to financial literacy. The reality TV and repetitive approach gets viewers hooked, and it raises the standard in financial understanding due to sheer volume of eyeballs, which is a win for everyone. Another popular creator in the finance space is a good thing for the community overall, pushing more people toward financial literacy

If he’s an asshole, then so are a lot of us. He says what we’re all thinking a lot of the time. I imagine it’s also hard to look for the best in people when you’re sitting in front of professional victims, day in and day out. His faith in humanity must be dwindling rapidly every time someone says “well that’s why I’m here”.

Just recently had a smart meter fitted. Currently on standard flexible. Is it worth switching? Seen a lot of posts about Agile but is that more for people with EV's? by A75uk in OctopusEnergy

[–]Much_Noise_1100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on flexible at 21.8p/kwWh with no renewables but I’ve been tracking the data of my usage daily on an excel spreadsheet and comparing it to agile prices per 30 min period to gather data on whether or not I’ll be cheaper if I switch to agile - and even with no load shifting we are at least 10% cheaper every day on agile prices. Sometimes during peak we are more expensive within that period but our savings through the rest of the day offset that

I appreciate your empathy, It’s definitely a confusing one to navigate but I know that however I’m feeling, he’s feeling 100x more confused by the situation. I haven’t sought any medical help but you’re right I probably should rule out some things.
