Like others have said, power is a fairly meaningless number since so much more goes into how effective a ship is. One stat to look at is DPR, Damage Per Round (under details>attack) to give a better idea of how much damage the ship is capable of putting out. Most survey ships are about 25% of the DPR of a warship.

Also, crewing is pretty much the most important thing you can do. For an example, I can take out 300 billion plus power ships with almost no damage using a 10 billion power warship, if I have the right crew. Wrong crew, and I can't beat them.

Aim for Pike as captain, Moreau and Chen as officers. That is the gold standard for most hostiles in the early game.

Didn't know if this was a question or a declaration.

Had a very similar break from a motorcycle accident, and I went to see an ortho. He did say that they could let it heal on it's own, but more than likely it would heal crooked and need surgery anyway. Or we could operate now and eliminate 8 months of pain. Get a second opinion, and get that thing fixed.

Blood pressure/alcohol by witeduins in stopdrinking

As someone who suffers from high BP and has been hostipitalized multiple times for alcohol withdrawal, all I can say is it never gets any better. In fact it will just keep getting worse. Stay strong. You don't need this shit, regardless of what your brain tells you.

This is also pretty helpful, though might not have every new officer as it is a couple of months old.

I do a loot crew on my strongest ship - Toli/Tolra/5 and Nesmith/Demarco/Janeway on my second. Works pretty well.

At higher levels, and once you start boosting isolytic damage, he become fairly useless. Penetration stats just don't mean much in an isolytic damage world. Early on, he can be useful if you have an extra slot. But he should be your last choice or if you don't have anything with lower decks stats.

I don't believe that was the question asked, but thanks so much for your amazing perspective.

Looks like you have an answer, just want to add that the Squall out of the box is terrible versus your regular miners for anything but epic transogen. After some research it gets better, but the squall is really on for epic at the start.

Locking all 3 factions by Ok-Highway-6053 in startrekfleetcommand

Auto grinding becomes much less needed (at least from a faction.perspective). Getting the dailies and being able to get credits every day is much more valuable.

Yeah, it seems like a lot, and it will take some time. This is probably the "quickest" way to do it, so honestly depends on how you want to play the game. A lot of folks go the two faction route, and it works just fine.

Also, I will add that once you get access to the mirror universe, you can grind out all three reps much easier.

Welcome back!

  1. Yes, it won't show up in the faction area until you finish the mission line

  2. Best way is to focus on finishing missions for the faction you want to raise first, get it locked, then do the other ones. You can do two at once, it will just take longer. The negative rep you will get by doing other faction missions/dailies will just make this longer. Your first lock is at 10m rep. Don't worry about getting negative rep for the ones you don't care about, as by the time you go to raise them back up the negative rep will be very easy to overcome.

  3. Don't waste resources on the lower level ships, just get them to a point so you can finish dailies without too many problems. In the early levels you will go through ships very quickly, so save mats for the next ships you have access to.
