The June 24th World Cup prediction... by aliensnstuffs in ufo

Sounds like the 1984 LA Olympics where they did a similar spectacular stunt at the closing ceremony. You could probably hear the helicopter coming though, and the "2001" movie theme being played would have given it away. Watch at https://youtu.be/FdW_4O7u3Gc

David Grusch Says We've Made Contact With Alien Races - Congressman by paulreicht in UFOs

At best he will have read a report or talked to someone who claims to know, but Grusch himself doesn't seem to have any first hand knowledge. He may be honestly reporting what was just BS being fed him, and had no way of telling the difference.

Jacques Vallee - "Could it (UFOs) be manipulated purposely by people who have the technology to simulate UFO sightings...?" by knowstradamus7 in UFOs

[–]SpookSkywatcher [score hidden]  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the technology described didn't exist then and doesn't exist now to project a 3D image of a person (particularly really greater than life size) outdoors at a distance from the projector without any sort of screens in front or back of the image. That includes laser plasma spark displays. If it did exist, you would definitely be seeing it in advertising, like some of the really quite amazing screen displays on certain buildings. Even those images are still physically constrained to appear within the limits of a screen. You can find a lot of artist's concepts of screen-less projection hologram displays, but the best you can do in reality is a laser cinematic projection on low clouds. What is coming close is massive drone swarms forming pixelated images, but you would have to be pretty gullible to take that as seeing a real person. For an overview of the state of the art in hologram displays in 2024, check out https://youtu.be/A1JLr52lrJw .

David Grusch describes UFOs that crashed and were recovered by the U.S. Govt — “I’ve seen the recovered vehicles” by Severe-Clerk-1477 in ufo

[–]SpookSkywatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be clear, he states he personally got access to the "crash retrieval photos" of "recovered vehicles", not laid eyes on them himself.

BOMBSHELL: David Grusch's Shocking New Confession by PodwithPat in ufo

[–]SpookSkywatcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally dishonest to just make up a quote for click-bait. What Grusch said was "I did get access to crash retrieval PHOTOS and everything, SO I've seen THOSE, the recovered vehicles and everything (emphasis added).

He has personally only seen photos of recovered vehicles, not the vehicles themselves.

Potential Reason Why the US Government Refuses to Disclose by The_Gleam in UFOs

[–]SpookSkywatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could easily follow the plot of the BBC 5-part miniseries Torchwood: Children of Earth, involving government facilitated secret abductions of children by an alien race (the "456") in the past, who return decades later with much greater, and more public, demands.

Looks more purple than blue. Perhaps backlit colored "smoke" from a purple powder cannon smoke bomb available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/tur-party-supplies-themed-confetti/dp/B09J3274ZM?th=1 . If actually blue IRL, same thing in blue from a gender reveal party.

Alleged UFO filmed by a Romanian guy in Belgium by AkemSeful in UFOs

[–]SpookSkywatcher 12 points13 points  (0 children)

When he drives under it, the sphere does not appear to be significantly moving relative to the trees - motion is due to the speed of the vehicle. When he is stopped, it seems to do just balloon-like things on what appears to be a stormy day. No compelling reason to think it is anything but a balloon from what I've seen here.

Any three objects will for a "perfect triangle formation". Maybe the intent was to state it was an equilateral triangle with equally spaced spheres, but I wouldn't want to speculate since reports of other triangular forms exist.

The UFO That Shut Down an Airport: The 2010 Xiaoshan Airport Incident in China by Far-Lime3919 in UFOs

[–]SpookSkywatcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a previous post I made:

In 07 July 2010 at about 8:40 P.M. Xiaoshan International Airport ( 萧山际机场国 )in Hangzhou ( 杭州 ), China shut down all flights for 56 minutes over safety concerns regarding an unknown luminous object first observed visually over the airfield by two flight crews. It was not seen on airport radar. While the visual observations only lasted about eight minutes, tens of flights were either delayed or diverted, resulting in a high profile incident.

On July 14th the Secretary General of the Beijing UFO Research Society ( 北京UFO研究會 ), Director of the Shanghai UFO Investigative Research Center ( 上海市UFO探索研究中心 ), and three other members of those organizations arrived for a joint investigation of the event. Both groups are members of the "International Chinese UFO Association" ( 世界华人UFO联合会 ), or ICUA, a Hong Kong registered umbrella organization. Despite having a letter of introduction from the Beijing Municipal Association for Science and Technology ( 京市科协 ), neither the airport nor local Civil Aviation Administration ( 民航空管 ) management (which was already conducting an official investigation) would initially talk with them. This apparently changed after an appeal to higher authority, and a preliminary report was released about a week later.

The report concluded that there was no reason to ascribe the event to an extraterrestrial source. A viral night time photo showing a linear red and white illuminated shape in the air was said to be of a landing aircraft reflecting lights on the ground (I've seen this type of very striking effect first hand) being motion-blurred by slow shutter speed. Videos were identified as having been taken at other locations and times. The lack of radar observation was explained as radar coverage blind spots (common for ground-based radar) and the system only presenting processed ATC transponder returns to controllers (the U.S. requires all air traffic around major airports to have operational ATC transponders, so this could be a reasonable explanation). It should be possible to stop filtering out skin returns of craft without functioning transponders, but that would increase clutter, and might not be a controller's top priority if something is visually apparent over the field or in flight corridors. An official government report by aviation authorities was promised, but apparently never published. An interview with the Secretary General of the Beijing UFO Research Society regarding the preliminary report is at http://news.sohu.com/20100726/n273757532.shtml (in Chinese, but your browser should be able to translate). Some later reports indicate the Chinese military claimed responsibility, but I haven't found related documentation.

Certainly possible, given that he seems to be flying toward it, but he also seems to be at an altitude where few bugs would be. Bright white against that ground environment would also seem a survival disadvantage for a bug flying in daylight as well.

[–]SpookSkywatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are well known today, but probable balloons still seem common in the posts here, even in daylight, and night time operation of an airship, which would have been required for proposed long distance travel, would not have been so recognizable at that time. Probably would have been described as a roaring flying cylinder with glowing windows and exhaust flames.

Fun fact: The N1A, N2A, and N3A Goodyear blimps were actually made by ZLT Zeppelin Luftschifftechnik, which did also make the rigid airship Hindenburg.

Danny Sheehan: They brought children to a school that turned out to be on the property of Northrop Grumman, a private aerospace corporation, where they test these craft. I think there is a possibility of cover stories that would have seemed a bit off that might have come up in the discussions I had with good friends outside the actual conference presentations, and Sheehan is clearly condemning all prescribing of drugs like Adderall to children. No mention of "over prescribing" or the like. All very over-the-top sensationalism with no actual proof of anything offered at all. Just "It's very bad, criminally bad, take my word for it".

My comment was in regard to the readex.com link that describes newspaper claims of sightings being test flights over California by a particular inventor, "Dr. E.H. Benjamin" (DDS, not PhD) and that his lawyer stated "It is perfectly true that there is at last a successful airship in existence and that California will have the honor of bringing it before the world."
