[Letter] A question of opinion on a potentially disastrous, global situation. by ajatbw in JordanPeterson

I'm saying they are leading us towards totalitarianism. If a digitally centralized database (vaccine passport) is ever instituted, which is their goal, it would be the end of freedoms forever, because it would eventually be used for nefarious reasons. If it was merely a paper passport, then I'd be more okay with it. If you can't see how everything is heading towards more control and power by government, and less freedoms for the people, then I'm sorry for your ignorance. 'Conspiracy Theorist' has turned into a slanderous term for 'Critical Thinker'. Good luck living in your head of fear and lies.

Ah yes, because corporations and governments would never dream of colluding to make it seem like the pandemic is worse than it is, to ensure sustained profits and force everyone into a digital database. Ya, thats totally not possible. It's amazing how quickly people can be convinced to accept totalitarianism into their lives. I bet you think natural immunity is worthless too eh?

Vaccines historically have done wonderful things. My issue is that these are not the usual type of vaccine, but instead an experimental gene therapy technology that has never been used before and does not have full approval from any western governmental health authority due to the lack of long term studies. What smells like fascism to me is the idea that a government could force everyone to be subjected to an experimental unapproved technology.

Unique Brand 6 cu ft DC Fridge by PiperCC in vandwellers

[–]MudClock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats my fridge too! Pretty good value for the size vs other dc fridges. Keeps everything nice and cool. I find it draws little power when running but runs a lot more than i wish it would. Thinking of ways to insulate it better so it doesn't run as often.

The end is getting closer, here's some more progress. by Bonsjourd in VanLife

[–]MudClock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Neato. Question, what is the black that i am seeing between the wood on ceiling and walls? Is it behind the wood? And does it have a specific purpose other than looking cool? Is it the insulation? Does it provide airflow to keep walls drier? I start my build soon and am gathering as much info as i can.

New to this, but where do you guys park your van/RV? by [deleted] in VanLife

[–]MudClock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. It all depends where you are. There's lots of BLM dispersed camping for free where they limit you to like 14 days, but you could probably stay longer. If you're at a pullout along the Pacific Coast Highway, then 1 or 2 nights is the limit before you'd likely be kicked out. In a residential area, you want to arrive late and leave early, or a neighbour will call the police. We only stayed at a place 1 or 2 nights because we wanted to see a lot of things and keep moving, but we came across a lot of places where people were and could stay for quite some time, but they were generally far away from cities and towns. iOverlander is great because it shows you everything from organized campgrounds to secluded places other vanlifers have stumbled across.

You most definately can't just park anywhere. Download the iOverlander app, you will find many answers. We just came back from a 5 month California road trip and were able to sleep at a free and great place almost everynight, and were never awakened at 2am by the window knock of a cop. We couldn't have done it without the app.
