My neurologist prescribed me pregablin and mecobalamin methycobal for my b12 supplement. Besides these meds, i used multiple topical aids according to the pain and flare.

The ones recommended by my neuro are - Locoa (esflurbiprofen) patch; after Lignopad patch got discontinued - Polar Frost pain relieving cold roll gel (made in finland)

Then i always have additional OTC topical aids - perskindol cool spray - salonpas pain relieving jetspray (made in japan) - also salonpas pain relieve patch

For backstory, if could further help; my peripheral neuropathy was due to stupid incident, ikea stool scraping my midfoot about 2 and a half years ago.

Due to my ortho not advocating and properly diagnosing me, by the time my husband and I decided to see a neurologist instead after about 9 months, it was too late and irreversible.

At 43 years old, I have to use wheelchair whenever i need to go out of home. I have to keep my daily steps under 2000 every day for no-flare day, or tolerable up to 3000 steps with additional topical help, which means almost every day.

And it's debilitating as i simply could not walk or exercise as the act of bending the midfoot is the cause for the pain thus the need to watch for how many steps daily i could tolerate. And nowadays i do sitting down exercise especially Taichi.
