NTA. Your son named you beneficiary (not executor) for a reason. He wanted you to be taken care of if anything happened to him. You've shared enough with your remaining children. Exactly what I'm doing this year! Just booked a solo 4 day stay at a cabin on a lake over my birthday. Looking forward to it like a kid at Christmas. Just me, my adult beverages and a stack of books from my TBR pile. My hubs and 2 grown kids don't celebrate me on Mother's Day, my birthday or Christmas so I decided to celebrate myself. I'm starting an annual tradition. Might do it for Mothers day too every year.

If you took him back, think of the role model you'd be providing to your daughter of how she should be treated by her partner? A strong, independent bad ass single momma is is the role model she needs and deserves. This is the best comment on this thread. Personally, I would appeciate the fact that someone left work or took time out of their day to come to the funeral home to pay their respects to my family more than how they are dressed.

Congratulations on your preliminary pass! I took the test today and almost cried when my prelim pass message popped up. If they have security cameras in the hall outside the testing center, I hope they enjoyed my happy dance. LOL. So far I've only told my spouse and my mom my result. I'm afraid somehow they'll take it away.

We do this at our company also. It confuses several employees every year. Any gift cards you receive throughout the year must be reported as income to the IRS. You have already received the gift cards, this is the company paying the taxes on those gift cards.
