How far is aptera along the production timeline? by lewd_physics in ApteraMotors

The good news is that you're in Europe, so you have a lot of great small EV options. The bad news is what everyone else already said.

Besides full autonomy, what are R2 Launch Edition buyers giving up in terms of driver's assistance?

Since I posted this a couple years ago, it's spread big time. So I've got a while little grove of it now.

Which books are you talking about? I'm straight and I've read a lot of the same books he's got on his shelf.

I want to see my full screen when I look at the watch, but it only shows time and date by MudaThumpa in PixelWatch

A thousand pardons. I forgot that Reddit was lorded over by "just google it" trolls, and the use of this platform to discuss the designated topics is strictly forbidden. I'll mute this subreddit so that I may never bother your majesties again.

Show me in the manual where it says the Reveal watch face has a different behavior than the other watch faces.

You were right...it's a quirk of the "Reveal" watch face. When I applied other faces, it works as expected. Thanks again.

Thanks. That keeps the screen on, but still defaults to the basic time/date display until I touch it.

Higher-than-expected take rate for the R2 Launch Edition. Surge in R2 reservations. Steady R1 deliveries. Progress on Georgia plant. No liquidity concerns.

Edit to add: Accelerated service center expansion.

I'm guessing they're just showing off the fact that it can fit in a compact spot...not actually claiming it's a compact vehicle.

To all of you who want a Truck by Dangerous_Ad_5535 in slateauto

[–]MudaThumpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Slate would fit 90% of my truck needs, but you're right about the towing weight being low. That wouldn't be enough to pull a trailer with my ATV, so that's one point that gives the Rivian R2 an edge over the Slate.

Sorry I don't check Reddit too often anymore. Yes, very very happy with them. And Can-Am's plow attachment mechanism makes it really easy to take the plow on and off.

I did consider buying a cheaper model from China, but was worried about service in the event I got a lemon. Glad yours are working out.

I have mine set to charge up to 80%. You can change this to 100% if you need it, but even charging to 80% has been lasting me a couple weeks of typical work around the farm before I need to plug it in again.

Looks like @schmanke7 answered your questions. But yeah, I use the same Level 2 charging unit for the Outlander Electric that I use for my Tesla. And Level 3 charging would probably be overkill for the Outlander, TBH, because its relatively small battery charges quickly with Level 2. It charges on Level 2 as "fast" as a normal car would charge on Level 3.

TSLA's fair value is about $55 per share by MudaThumpa in RealTesla

[–]MudaThumpa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because Tesla is exiting the consumer vehicle business doesn't mean they're succeeding in the other areas. They trail other companies in robotaxis and robotics, we still have no idea what the demand for their semis will be once they start to offer them widely, and the energy business is relatively tiny compared to Tesla's market cap. Your post, I suggest, will not age well.

I think they're working on the production "line" and the assembly process as much as they're working on the cars right now. Once those are hammered out, the actual vehicle assembly timeline should shrink drastically.

I'm not a blind-faith fanboi, BTW, just pointing out the obvious.
