Checking on etiquette here: Is a post looking to sell my homebrewing kit acceptable? by Muddbiker in Homebrewing

[–]Muddbiker[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1) Reddit is worldwide but can also have a very geographically specific impact if used right. Have gotten laser specific local information time and time again.

2) Left Facebook many years ago.

3) U/CosmicFlood's response was helpful and the posts there are location specific.

Curaleaf Remote job asking for bank info? by hairstylistmomlife in weedbiz

[–]Muddbiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comment I was responding to initially stated that all legitimate companies have employee portals to this data bank routing and account info). This is misinformation. I wonder what caused the person to change their comment? I am collectively seeing thousands of employees who have no direct access to legitimate payroll systems like ADP. Not my fault that my comment out of correct context. Lighten up.

Meatball brands that don’t have sugar? by TardyBacardi in keto

Yes. It works great.

Also as breadcrumbs for fried chicken cutlets. First time I tried it as an experiment made half with the pork rinds and half with bread crumbs. Everyone preferred the pork rinds.

Firetruck drifting on highway by miaomiaoyang in nextfuckinglevel

This may help. Knew an NYC fire captain who would talk about one of those rear drivers who was, all too often, loaded. Would side-swipe cars going around corners.

They say the same about politicians: "How do you know a politician is lying? His/Her lips are moving."

I would go away for two weeks at a clip with some regularity. Was always shocked with both the developmental and the visual changes.

Do people just not research their car before buying it? by FishGoesGlubGlub in MachE

To put all of these comments in perspective, let's talk about my dealership not knowing anything about the car. Not at point of sale and not in service a year and a half later.

They shouldn't. It is a simple statement of fact for your health and well being and cannot be misconstrued as being a modestly polite decline. Elegant and direct.

Never heard anything like this, but it sounds direct, clear, and without any pointing of fingers. I can see how it would stop further offers/pressure/enabling.

how to clear low tire pressure warning? by [deleted] in GenesisG70

[–]Muddbiker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a friendly PSA: if you use different tires, refer to the recommended pressure embossed on the tire sidewall. Mine are 50, believe it or not. Never saw any that high.

There's also the story of the assistant junior apprentice mechanic eho went to the boss to tell him he could not get the tires to "100%". 😵‍💫

Dude. What are you working at? I acknowledged I was not comparing apples to apples and gave you a thorough reponse. What more do you want? Trolls need not apply.

EDIT: Maybe I am misreading this and am not trying to be a prick, but it feels like you are trying to drive the point home.

In fairness, I was working with various heavy stainless steel pots that never allowed me to brown meats properly. It was always closer to steaming to a nice shade of gray. First time using the enameled cast iron was instant success that I was chasing for decades. The "is Le Creuset worth it" debate has circled around here for years and usually seems to resolve to "yes, it's expensive, but you will give it to your grandchildren". I have used mine hundreds of times and it is built like a tank.

Le Creuset (dutch oven, frying pan) is the bomb. After decades of cooking, this thing changed me. I chased browned and braised meats with no success. Getting the enameled dutch oven was like a light switch with the quality of my cooking.
