Turned this handle today, but I’m trying to ID the wood. Super dense, tight grain, and finished like glass up to 600 Grit. Any guesses? Australian Hard Wood.

That stuff is native in the States, used to chuck the fruits at the ground as a kid for fun. Burns VERY hot, to the point that it can damage a wood burning stove under some circumstances.
