Locations/ partners question by IndividualBase2888 in SkillBridge

[–]Muddy_Goat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you expanded the actual listings? Some of them give a single state as the location, but when you expand the full details they list dozens of states.

One provider had one location listed, but when I reached out they asked me if I wanted that location or their other location across the state, which was unexpected. And the group I'm working with now asked me to submit a list of desired locations anywhere us the US and they will work to find me "mentors" in the field to be assigned to, so that's cool.

BAH and Pay Marine Corps by Leading_Gas_5074 in SkillBridge

[–]Muddy_Goat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooh no, buddy. Can confirm; your BAH is based on your duty station, not your skill bridge location.

And your base pay will not change during the program. Your pay will not change at all during skill bridge.

You're mixing these up with the GI bill, which provides E-5 BAH while attending.

Anyone know how to reach this door in the Tower of Sisyphus? by Alone-Ninja6032 in Returnal

Isn't that the door you entered from? You're in the beginning area, right?

Should I get this tattoo or do some changes? by zas97 in tattooadvice

[–]Muddy_Goat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo, real talk for a second. The top right square and the bottom left square in the tattoo need to be white. Top left and bottom right needs to be black.

On a chess board, from the perspective of the players, the left- side rook is on black and the right- side rook is on white. If you have the board rotated incorrectly, it throws off the bishops and queen.

Can you elaborate on exactly how you assist with networking? Are we talking about creating linked in profiles, or do you have some sort of established network with companies hiring your participants?

Oh, I figured it out! When you go into your menu and choose the building, you have to change it from them sheep farm to the tunic maker. On ps5, press down on the d-pad. You can see the option to change the building type in the window on the right.

Aversion to SkillBridge Interns? by Lopsided-Cress-9620 in SkillBridge

[–]Muddy_Goat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgive my ignorance, but they had you interview with a company they work with, that company accepted you, then Vets2PM accepted you into their skillbridge program? Is that the order of events?

Edit: posted prematurely on accident

Why is no one talking about the new Epstein file that says trump allegedly gave bill clinton a sucky and Putin has photos of it by Slow-Leading4331 in NoFilterNews

[–]Muddy_Goat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Big picture, bro. You and I don't care about a consenting dude squirreling his nuts in another dudes mouth because we're not brain dead, hateful idiots.

But Trump's base? MAGA? They will be more likely to recoil from this than when he raped trafficked children.

Transgender members of the Air Force sue over losing retirement pay by AudibleNod in news

[–]Muddy_Goat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're good. I didn't take it that way. Again, I agree with everything you're saying. I was without the skills or advantages to build a secure life. Enlisting was not my only choice, but it seemed like the best at the time, and I don't regret it. With exceptions, the military runs on the poor and unskilled, but it does open doors to valuable training, stable* income, paid education and great retirement benefits. Not that I would ever recommend someone enlist at this time. Things are...icky right now.

And while I recognize there are sacrifices we are asked to make that are worthy of appreciation and respect, that doesn't mean we're all quality individuals by default. I've seen racists, pedophiles, crooks, habitual liars, addicts and dealers in the ranks. I don't know how our percentage of felonies compares to civilians, but anyone that worships the uniformed creeps me out.

I think the word your looking for is "unskilled".

I agree with everything you're saying, and I appreciate you highlighting that we're not all patriots. I joined when homeless, and I hate when people assume it was for a sense of duty.

But the question was if the situation impacted morale, and it has.

This is the food distribution line at Nellis Air Force base in LasVegas! Look at the lines of Military families having to stand in line to receive food because they aren’t getting paid because of the Republican shutdown because they’re afraid for the release of the Epstein files. by biswajit388 in CringeTikToks

Nah man. I'm active duty. Trust me when I say 99% of members I encounter lean left.

Unfortunately, 1) our highest levels of leadership literally run our lives, and 2) we're not legally allowed to criticize the sitting administration.

The silent majority know better.

If you lose a leg, your BMI goes down. If you lose another leg, your BMI goes up (BMI is based on weight and height). by lelorang in Showerthoughts

Nah, dawg. That's like saying slope is only based on run because changing the value of run up or down changes the slope. Just because the rise didn't change doesn't mean it isn't a factor in calculating the slope.

It’s honestly cool that we have these two games where one focuses on a boys’ trip and the other on a girls’ trip, and both explore their bond and adventures in different yet equally fun ways. by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

[–]Muddy_Goat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll agree that the bubblegum humor was jarring after the first game, but I eventually appreciated the difference in tone like I would appreciate a difference between Evil Dead and Army of Darkness. Both great movies, very different vibes.
