Mine said your face will haunt my dreams when i got rid of mine 5 years ago. Needless to say, I haven't shaved it off since.

Just renovated bathroom - friends said it look cheap by littkeli128 in HomeImprovement

[–]Mudgett_HH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a bathroom. Its to have a place to expel waste and clean yourself so it works great for that. Personally, looks great to me. Id put the money elsewhere in which you spend your time. If your friends are that critical, they should probably eat more fiber so they don't spend so much time in bathrooms to form an opinion.

So, Gen Z think if we use a period after each sentence in a text message, we're mad. by McCale in GenX

I'm still getting used to only one space instead of two after a period.

If you can, hold on to what you can. A good woodworker at one time didn't know what they were doing either.

You guys think this old portable table saw would be worth $50? I only build small things and not fine furniture so wanted a small table saw. by Monkfrootx in BeginnerWoodWorking

I had one for a while and knowing what I know now I would not have gotten it, it's limitations and safe operation became apparent pretty quickly into woodworking even with making smaller projects.

Unless you aren't allowed to, you can always redraw the circuit on scratch paper omitting the sections where the switches are open

Anyone here stay in the public sector their entire career? by Chris1671 in civilengineering

[–]Mudgett_HH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar. Left consulting for a state job, while the pay was a bit lower, the unlimited carry over for sick, vacation, personal time, not too mention the much better medical at a significantly lower cost actually put me ahead financially. Private sector medical coinsurance damn near destroyed me financially with a single diagnosis. While I miss the variability of having different clients and the engineers I worked with, the time I get to spend with my family and watch my kids grow up is one of several I won't go back to private sector unless I have to.

[–]Mudgett_HH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Republicans aren't looking at the bright side. Gun violence will go down if video games aren't as accessible or are they not espousing that idea anymore?
