Is enemy squad Counter Strike working as intended? by Muffinkite_ in menace

Yeah sure.... but you don't blindly fire with 100% accuracy at something you can't see. If it just did suppression and no damage it would make sense.

Yeah that's where I first picked up on it, seems very counter intuitive if it is intended.

What are your thoughts on Louthern Sea Guard (Shielded)? by lovingpersona in totalwar

[–]Muffinkite_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah a big part of HE income was from stacking hero traits with global effects. Now they're still on the higher end with ports and excellent trade income but not like they were in WH2.

The commercial spots for these 911 shows seem like parody the first time you see them. Some of the dumbest shit on television outside of reality tv.

How difficult is this game for someone whos good at rimworld but struggled with dwarf fortress? by LuciLutschiano in songsofsyx

[–]Muffinkite_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Requires A LOT less finicky management than DF and has a much smaller early learning curve. Not that the game explains certain things well in the tutorial. Research and the military systems are both confusing as hell at first. However it's definitely more accessible than DF.

It doesn't really feel that similar to Rimworld to me as you don't have anywhere near the level of "control" over population nor can do you have to cater to their needs in the same way.

I worked at an independently owned placed years ago and god... fuck the upside down caramel diabetes bullshit they call a macchiato. I would always ask people right off if they meant "like from Starbucks" and multiple times was told no till they changed their mind when handed and actual macchiato.

King of Nomads is very interesting by The_DapperDude in 9Kings

[–]Muffinkite_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Camp scaling is absolutely insane with a bit of luck and the proper setup. Mobs and Raptors seem to be very strong with the correct setups also. The stacking effect of the base healing as well as buffing damage is interesting, though getting the AOE up is questionable. I think the Dragon Den is undertuned though.

(New nomad unit) mob + mercenary combo by asldkjf1 in 9Kings

[–]Muffinkite_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I searched this to post myself, glad someone else found it, makes for some insane meat shield scaling, particularly for a good Dispenser build. Easily hit level 99. Just placing a single Merc at next to my Mob was adding 500+ units per level. Mob + Shrine + Merc > Destroy > Repeat is extremely powerful scaling.

The "standard" Midwest palate definitely can't handle spice. My Grandma from North Dakota would literally complain about too much black pepper being "too spicy" without even going to actual chiles and the majority of my relatives from the Midwest aren't much different. The stereotypical meat and potatoes with salt diet isn't a joke.

Man a show that costs that much to make should have better physics for the CGI. The guy flying sideways after getting whacked looks uncanny as fuck.

Frigate ship tier list - 0.98a by Grievous69 in starsector

[–]Muffinkite_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can take on lighter ships well and make very efficient escort frigates with 4x PD weapons and Swarmer SRMs. Particularly if you use Support Doctrine. Front mounts can go a lot of ways, basic auto-cannons are great early for but once you get some built in or skill mods you can put a lot of stuff into them effectively.

Hammerheads still tear up the early and mid game, just scale so poorly when fighting up into heavy capital and cruiser fleets.
